    The Mahabharata is one of the most holistic and prominent books in Hindu
    religion. The book was first adapted on television in the 90’s by B.R.chopra on
    doordarshan which became an instant hit and broke viewership records on
    regular basis. The most recent adaptation of the book was in 2013 when Star plus
    started to broadcast the show as an daily soap. The first episode aired on 16
    September 2013. The show had 267 episodes with the show finale one airing on
    16 August 2014.

    Mahabharat is known to everyone. The challenge would have been to narrate


    what is already known in a gripping manner. And the show’s first episode
    managed to do that, precisely. The show had progressed well and star plus did
    manage to get many of the aspects of the show correct. This might as well
    include casting
