under human resource or employee management. This interview is conducted to give the students glimpse of the industrial/organizational environment as well
as motivation and advice to students who wish to pursue such careers in this field.

B. About
The Interviewee
Ms. Trisha May Tobias Bides is a 22-year-old licensed Psychometrician, a proud graduate of Central Luzon State University batch 2019 with a Batchelor
of Arts’ Degree in Psychology. She is a former Recruitment Assisstant in William Hill Online, Manila and now she is a Senior Recruiter in PSG Global
Solutions, Makati City. Part of her job description are the following: (1)Sourcing resumes of qualified candidates for specific job orders, using job boards,
applicant tracking systems, company web sites, etc. (2) Conducting phone interviews to pre-screen candidates, verifying their qualifications, availability and
compensation requirements; documents these interviews. (3) Sets up interviews between candidates and hiring managers. (4) Is involved in recruiting passive
candidates, through phone calls, emails and general relationship-building. And (5) Made recommendations on additional candidate pools and recruiting
techniques, after evaluating market conditions. She is an aspiring student before, a proactive professional today.

The Interview
The interview is prior schedule on the 25th day of November 2020 and rescheduled on November 28, 2020 because of conflicting schedule. The
interviewers prepared questions based on the objectives set. The interview is administered through Messenger Video Call and lasted for about 25 minutes with
2-minute water break. It is started with acknowledging the participation and orientation of the interviewee. Since it is a group interview (with Michaella Jayle
Rafael and Ira Gracia Raynera) the questions is divided into 3 interviewers for equal participation.

C. Findings
The interviewers started by asking Ms. Bides about the reason why did she choose this particular job. She smiled and give them a bit of why-did-you-ask
look and then laugh, “simple, because of money, I want the tought of having a salary” she said jokingly, but seriously speaking, she needed this job to gain
experienced. It serves as a training ground of her career and to be able to sharpen her skills and be equipped in a more complicated work in the HR field, a goal
of her that she can reach anytime soon because she is in boarding procedure. She also stated that all of her known successful Psychology friends started also as
a Recruiter, aside from it does not require tons of requirements, you do not need a licensed for you to be hired. After that, the interviewers ask about her
performance during her early days working, she stated that being new to in the company gathers eyes and judgment from co-workers, they noticed her all the
time, especially that she is graduated from province and most of her colleagues were from influential universities, so she needed to stay cautious as well as
staying courageous and strong for her to prove herself that she can do her job efficiently. She also encountered many problems especially when she is drafting
contracts, picky applicants, and the worst part is that she is doubted by the aspiring participant as a scammer. They address this kind of problems systematically
and orderly to minimize and block any effects on the work. Over-all she took all of this as a part of learning process and these makes her more eager to learn
and be more proficient in this field.
Next question is about her adjustment in her work. at her first company, she swiftly adjust to the work because of the assigned tasks and so much exposure
to work making her more comfortable in the set-up on her new company. “It is a good help to think that you are not a student anymore, that now is the time to
be mature enough to handle your responsibilities, you are a professional and keep that in mind.” she said. Earning the trust of your colleagues and your boss is
really important not just to adjust but also to stay in this field. She also adds up that to lessen the burden and pressure of her work, their company also provide
recreational activities and longer break times for the employees to socialized, relax, and breathe to further contribute to everyone’s mental health status. Theses
activities are mandatory in their normal set-up but now as she works from home due to pandemic, she actually, mix things up like her career and personal life
which is another problem that she addresses well. She clearly instructed that those things are separate things that needs to have solid boundaries because
mixing those two is chaotic.
When it comes on her working attitude, she is now time conscious than what she is during her study. She does not entertain cramming. “You cannot know
what work you must do tomorrow if you let your work pile up. You must do your best to accomplish what is set to accomplish.” she answered.she also
describe that she tends to do overtime work because she cannot leave any works given to her to not to cause any delays and cancellations, thus it gives her an
OTTY(over-time thank you) as appreciation. She is also more mature than her old self because it is needed to stay professional when doing job. Sometimes,
she also forget that they are inside a working ambience and tends to jam with her co-workers but she managed to remind herself to act accordingly.
As of their performance appraisals, she stated that they have it annually but as of the moment she does not able to have any because of her current duration
working (5 months) only recognition and words of motivation from their boss and HRs are the ones that gives him additional boost.
As of now, she has no plans regarding the future if she became promoted as an HR manager. She stated that things are always dependent on time and
events, sometimes creating plans gives you disappointments and it can also pressure you if those plans were not happened at all. It is better to wait and secure
the future before you plan something about it and then let you apply your learning and strategies. With all of this, she gained things personally, she learned new
set of skills additional to the knowledge imparted to her inside the academe, good friends and connections as she is the front-line that caters employees and
applicants, and most of all she progress financially.
“Know what you like, what career you want to pursue, keep the boundary between career and personal life, always maintain your professionalism, be
down to earth humble not hambog, and always pray.” those ar the words Ms Bides advice to those who wanted to pursue a career within this field.

D. Conclusions
-being able to find a decent job as of this moment is a blessing especially if that job really suits you well. Performance appraisals are just additives to the
motivation, it is basically based always to the employees; their passion, their need, their ability, an their goals. From this interview I learned that to be able to
grasp on your ultimate goal, you must be ready to fight for it, to sacrifice and adjust for it, to work hard, to start always at the bottom, and climb the way up.
Hearing these wise words from Ms. Trisha really gives me a slap of reality to start doing what is needed to be done. If you aspire for best, then do best. If you
aspire for more, then do more. Just remember why you are aspiring and for what you are moving and the boost and motivation will be lighted to keep you on
track. I am thankful for this activity for it gives us a special time talking to someone who are student before and a professional today to give a piece of what is
really happening outside the academe. It makes me motivated and refreshed.

E. Recommendations
-I only recommend to the student interviewers (to us) that they must conducted it prior and ahead of time because words like this will positively gives them
boost to be productive working and studying their lessons. Honestly, I do not know what else to recommend, its just that I feel really happy today I heard
something just like this. One thing is for sure, I know now that my answer from your previous class-participation about what would I prefer if clinical or I/O is
changed not that completely, but starting to consider.

God Bless to all of us and Keep safe.
