    This civic engagement project provides me with a perfect opportunity to thank those who

    used to help me with patient minds. These cards we made express the greatest greeting to them,

    and both our community and our value from it. From the perspective of the whole WKU

    community, a harmonious society of every people willing and happy to help, therefore people

    with difficulties would not be afraid of asking for help. The circumstance encourages the

    development of a healthy relationship. From the perspective of the individual level, the group

    members and I benefit from a sense of social connectedness and purpose. Besides, it enhances us

    as a person and helps us to feel better about ourselves which can be seen as a sense of self-worth.

    After doing the project, I feel being motivated to do civic engagement, and I want to join in

    another volunteer work in the future.
