“IF I WERE YOU”

First I'm not very good at English. I mean, learning a new language is kind of
hard, but I have tried day by day and I can finally say that I have improved
my pronunciation, writing and reading. I always thought that studying
languages would open many doors and that is true. In most professional
careers it is a requirement to know English or another global language, in the
first instance there would be English, although there are others such as
Mandarin Chinese, French, German, among others.
I think that knowing more languages allows me to be able to socialize with
people from other parts of the world, and we also have to learn from them.
An open mind is very helpful when engaging in conversations and learning
about global cultures.
In my career (network and telecommunications engineering) English is one
of the requirements to be able to obtain my bachelor's degree.
Peru has limitations regarding technology and its advances are not cutting
edge, so if I learned a language, such as English, I could go to other countries
to learn new things and allow me to develop as an excellent professional and
develop new things that support or advance the future of humanity.
On the other hand, there is a lot of information found in another language,
for example: books, files, manuals, brochures, among others. According to
studies, much of the valuable information is in the English language and
knowing that language and being able to understand it would give access to a
vast network of information that would be very useful in future projects
