Activity 5. In what ways are the TQM principles consistent with the Christian faith? Discuss how you will
apply the three basic principles of TQM to your own life right now as you pursue a TQ-managed life. For
each principle, cite two habits or practices that you will start doing or continue to do as a follow-through
to these applications.

TQM is a management philosophy that is grounded on 3 principles. It has been suggested that these
principles are applicable to the management of operations of churches as well as to more traditional
organizations. I think that the TQM principles are consistent to Christian Faith because it teaches us the
philosophy of being a people person at the same time that we are focused a process that aims for
continuous improvement which I believe the church wants us to achieve as a church faith is all about
family and people, and striving for growth.

The 3 basic principles of TQM are (1) A focus on customers and stakeholders; (2) Participation and
teamwork by everyone in the organization; and (3) A process focus supported by continuous
improvement and learning. I think that these 3 will help me succeed in my studies because I have to
constantly manage to give quality education to myself in order to get the grades that I want whilst
earning the knowledge that I need. For the first TQM principle, I will have to focus on my studies, and
also put value to my studies by rapidly responding to the lessons and activities that are being given to
me. For the 2nd TQM principle, I will have to attentively participate and give my all in every teamwork
that is being tasked for us to do, I should also be able to put forth my camaraderie skills in order to
better coordinate with the tasks that we have to do as a group. As for the 3 rd TQM Principle, I have to
constantly focus on my studies, and I also have to make sure that I am constantly improving my skills
that I need to make gradual breakthrough in my studies.
