Horror Stories

Read the stories. All of them have the final sentence missing. What do you
think will happen next? Choose one story and write a final sentence.

a) A father is laying in bed after just waking up, he grabs the baby monitor and
hears his wife singing to the baby “Go to sleep… go to sleep…”

b) A man leaves his house every morning to walk to work and passes a mental
hospital surrounded by a wooden fence. Every morning the patients are out in
the yard and he can hear them saying in unison, “10, 10, 10, 10, 10″.
One day, he gets curious and looks through a hole in the fence. Suddenly, a stick shoots out and
pokes him in the eye. While walking away in pain he can hear the patients saying,

c) A woman loves to go camping and hiking alone. She returns home after 2 weeks of being in the
woods and not seeing anyone. She prints the photos from her camera and sees numerous pictures of
herself sleeping at night, on different nights.

d) I began tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy, check for monsters under my bed”. I look
under his bed for his amusement and I see HIM, another him, under the bed, staring back at me, his
eyes wide open in horror, whispering .

e) You get home after a long day at work and ready for a relaxing night alone. You
open the door and see that it's dark in there.
