Hands-on Part (28 points)

Today, your customer, Beantown Bikes in Boston, made an order to purchase 5 Professional
Touring Bike (Red) (PRTR3###). It should be delivered in 2 weeks. After getting the sales order,
you realized that there is no stock for the Professional Touring Bike (Red). So, you contacted the
vendor, Boomtown Tire & Wheel in Cincinnati, and ordered the material that you have no stock.
The quantity you ordered is 100. After 3 days later, the material is delivered. Now, you have 100
stocks of the material to make 5 Professional Touring Bike (Red) (Show the inventory of the
material you have after delivery – Figure 1) and paid to the vendor. (Capture the screen that you
paid to the vendor – Figure 2).
Now you made 5 Professional Touring Bike (Red) (PRTR3###). (Capture the screen that you
have 5 bikes in DL warehouse – Figure 3) The work center to make bikes is located inside Plant
Dallas. Total area of the work center is 5,000 square feet. The work center used electricity costs
of 1,200 USD to produce 5 Professional Touring Bike (Red). You have to allocate the electricity
costs 1,200 (CC-EL###) to the cost centers assembly (CC-AS###) and maintenance (CC-
MA###). Use a ratio of four (Assembly) to one (Maintenance) for your calculation. (Capture the
screen that you allocated the cost – Figure 4)
After the production is over, you delivered 5 bikes to Beantown Bikes in Boston. Now, Dallas
plant (DL00) has zero bikes. Right after the truck left, the Beantown Bikes ordered 2 additional
Professional Touring Bike (Red) (PRTR3###). They need them as soon as possible. But, you do
not have enough time to make 2 additional bikes. Luckily, you found Heidelberg plant has 2
Professional Touring Bike (Red). (Figure 5) So, you requested Heidelberg plant (HD00) to
transfer 2 bikes to Dallas Plant. Delivery date is 3 days from today. After transferring the bikes,
it has no more PRTR3### in HD00. (Figure 6) But, Dallas plant (DL00) has 2 bikes. (Figure 7).
Now, you delivered the additional 2 bikes to the customer.
