Removing Chronicles

When a Chronicle leaves OWBN, it will be necessary to un-publish the chronicle and disable
the user accounts. Please remember that we should never delete the Chronicle. Deleting a
chronicle also deletes a chronicle’s vote record, and it is important that we preserve this.

To perform this activity, you must be logged into the site as an Administrator.

1. Click on Content.

2. Click on Chronicle in the drop down list.

3. Click on “search by title or author”, and Type in the chronicle name.

4. Find the chronicle in the list and click on the link on the right of the chronicle that says "Edit
Current".

5. In the next screen, scroll to the bottom.

6. Click on revision Information, and choose "modify current revision, no moderation".

7. Click on “Publishing options” and uncheck the "published" option.
8. Click on Save.

9. The chronicle is now unpublished. It will not appear on the chronicle site, but the vote
record will be stored for safe keeping.
