(1) Displaying the setting screen

When + X MENU
are pressed, the following screen is displayed on the monitor.

Each item can be set by entering the corresponding number from 1 to 9.

Item on the screen Description


1. INTERVAL PLAYBACK Specify whether or not the image is fed automatically during
playback.
!
Each time 1 is pressed, interval playback mode is toggled
between ON and OFF. Automatic image feeding during
playback is enabled by setting INTERVAL PLAYBACK to ON.
The time interval for image feeding is set using "2. INTERVAL
TIME".
2. INTERVAL TIME Set the time interval for interval playback.

When 2 is pressed, the menu is highlighted.

Enter the time at the cursor position and press to set


the time interval. The set interval time should be used only for
reference because playback may not be performed exactly at
the specified intervals depending on the system processing
status.
3. MENU END (
When 9 is pressed, the menu is closed.
(2) Basic operations for recording

STORE

To record an image, press STORE


or . The "STORE" message is
displayed on the monitor during recording and disappears when recording is
completed.

CAUTION: Do not turn the system power OFF when the "STORE" message is
displayed. The data that is being recorded may be lost.

(3) Basic operations for playback

Press + V VIEW
to display the screen below. On this screen, searching and
playback by patient ID and date of recording is possible.

(a) Search by entering the desired patient ID and date of recording directly

Enter the desired patient ID and date of recording. Move the cursor to the
media (HDD or CD-R) that contains the image to be played back and press
. An asterisk (*) is displayed for the selected media. Move the cursor

to SEARCH, and then press . The "LOADING" message is displayed


and the corresponding image is played back.

CAUTION: Do not turn the system power OFF when the "LOADING"
message is displayed. The recorded data may be lost.

NOTE: The year, month, and day must be entered in the correct order
according to the guide.
(b) Search by selecting the patient ID and date of recording from a list

Place the cursor in the ID entry field and press Del and repeat this step for
the DATE entry field to make both fields blank. Move the cursor to the desired
media (HDD or CD-R) that contains the image to be played back and press
. An asterisk (*) is displayed for the selected media. Move the cursor

to SEARCH, and press . A list of patient IDs is displayed. If the list

contains more than one page, use and to select the page.

Move the cursor to the number for the desired patient ID in the list and press
. Alternatively, enter the number for the desired patient ID. A list of
the dates of recording registered to that patient ID is displayed.

Move the cursor to the number for the desired date in the list and press
. Alternatively, enter the number for the desired date. The
corresponding image is then played back.
(4) REVIEW function (temporary playback during recording)

To play back images recorded in the filing unit, it is necessary to search them by
specifying the patient ID and date of recording. However, the image data currently
being recorded can be played back by simply pressing the REVIEW switch.

* Before this function can be used, it must be assigned to a user function key by
service personnel. Contact your Toshiba service representative.

When the [REVIEW] switch (after it has been assigned to a user function key) is
pressed, the image recorded immediately before is played back.

For example, if six images have been recorded using the STORE switch for a
patient, the sixth image is played back.
PREV
When is pressed in this status, the playback image moves back to the fifth
image, fourth image, and so on.
NEXT
When is then pressed, the playback image moves forward to the fifth image
and the sixth image.

(5) Screen display during recording/playback

The following information is displayed superimposed on the screen during


recording and playback.

(6) Basic operations for backup

NOTE: 1. An optional CD-R unit (UIFU-511A) is required to back up image data


to CD-R.

2. To back up image data to an external PC across a network, system


setting must be performed by service personnel.

(a) Backup by directly entering the desired ID and date of recording

Enter the desired patient ID and date of recording. Move the cursor to the
desired backup destination (CD-R or NETWORK) and press . An
asterisk (*) is displayed for the selected destination. Move the cursor to
SEARCH, and then press . The backup screen for the specified ID
and date is displayed.

When the space key is then pressed, the image is selected and "BACKUP" is

When the image to be backed up is selected, press .

To confirm the backed-up image on the CD-R or in an external PC, move the
cursor to "CONFIRM SAVED IMAGE" and press .

If confirmation is not required, move the cursor to "SKIP CONFIRMATION"

The list of the IDs or dates of the recording is displayed. If the list contains

Move the cursor to the number for the desired ID or date and press .
Alternatively, enter the number for the desired ID or date to select the ID or
date.

<To select two or more IDs or dates in the list>

Move the cursor to the desired number and press the space key. Repeat this
for all desired IDs or dates. An asterisk (*) is displayed for the selected IDs or
dates.

When is then pressed, the backup confirmation screen is displayed.


Note that the ID or date where the cursor is positioned when is
pressed is also selected for backup.

Press + DDELETE
to display the image deletion setting screen shown below.

Move the cursor to the number for the desired ID or date and press .
Alternatively, enter the number for the desired ID or date to select the ID or date.
When an image to be deleted has been selected by entering the number from the
keyboard, other images can be selected in succession by moving the cursor to the
desired number and then pressing the space key. An asterisk (*) is displayed for
the selected IDs or dates. When is then pressed, the deletion confirmation
screen is displayed.

Note that the ID or date where the cursor is positioned when is pressed is
also selected for deletion.

<To select two or more IDs or dates in the list>

Move the cursor to the desired number and press the space key. Repeat for all
desired IDs or dates. An asterisk (*) is displayed for the selected IDs or dates.
When is then pressed, the deletion confirmation screen is displayed.

Note that the ID or date where the cursor is positioned when is pressed is
also selected for deletion.

(8) Basic operations for restoration

to display the image restoration setting screen shown below.

When restoration is completed, the list of the images stored in the filing unit is
displayed. The numbers in brackets at the right end of each item indicate the
following information.

• RESTORED IMAGE : Number of the current image /total number of images

• ID : Number of the current ID/total number of IDs

• DATE : Number of the current date for the ID/total number of


dates for the ID

To display the next page, press . To display the previous page, press .

To restore the images from another CD continuously, replace the CD in the CD-R
unit, move the cursor to "YES", and press . To terminate restoration, move

the cursor to "NO" and press .

NOTE: An optional CD-R unit (UIFU-511A) is required to restore image data.

percent progress is displayed). The stored data may be lost.

(9) List of messages

The messages and the corresponding meanings and required actions are shown in
the table below.

"NO DISK" The filing unit is not Turn OFF the power of the filing
