4. Varun Solanki

SCENE WRITING
SCENE-1

Varun Solanki, 14, is a student at a boys' school in the heart of New York. If he did oversleep
that day, it was through exhaustion rather than laziness. He was crying whole night when he got
to hear the news of the death of his father, with whom he had not met for the last 6 years after
his parents divorced.

SCENE-2

A girl approaches the grave, embraces the block of ice, then clutches her chest. She complains
of pain in her breast to herself. She sits at the edge of the grave and talks to the grave. She is
trying to deal with her father’s death. Written on the grave is the name of Aatifa’s dad, Mr.
Ahmad Khan. Though he is dead, she feels he is alive. She had lost her father in a nuclear
accident in Antarctic.
SCENE-3

Varun, 21, is sitting on his couch, thinking his whole life, tears leave his eyes slowly. Immersed
with all these thoughts, suddenly Varun recollects that his father wrote him a letter while he was
on his mission. He frantically, runs throughout the house, searches all the trunks and finds his
beloved father’s letter. When he reads it, he realizes that his dad might not have died of the
reason he believes. He embarks on a journey to Atlantic to find the truth.
Meanwhile, Aatifa who is fighting for her rights over her father’s lineage too sets on the same
mission to find his father’s reason of death.
SCENE-4

Varun has to change his flight at New York Airport. He’s waiting in the lobby for his next flight
when his eyes meet with a girl trying to push her luggage with a lot difficulty. He in one glance
stands to help the lady and she sits by him. She’s Aatifa who lives in New York and too has a
flight to Atlantic. They both talk for hours unknowing of their motives. Even it’s their fate or
chance their seats are side by side. They talk for hours to finally bid goodbye to each other. They
didn’t know that this wasn’t the last time they would meet each other.

SCENE-5

Varun reaches his father’s office whose address was given to him by his father in his childhood.
But what he sees there makes hm feel more scared. The address is of a graveyard and he feels
confused. But to his amazement, he finds Aatifa roaming there confused as well when they
finally get to know about each other’s motives and team up to find the truth. It was when they
were searching for clues in the graveyard where they saw a strange grave with a lock. Aatifa
remembers a key given to her by his father in her childhood which perfectly fits in the lock and
the grave opens and they both fall into it where they find the texts and facts their fathers were
working on which led to their deaths.

SCENE-6

Varun and Aatifa decide to leave the place to find wreckage of their fathers’ submarine but to
their surprise a group of goons with two ladies leading them are standing in their way and it’s
clear by the way they are looking at them that they wat to kill both of them. The ladies introduce
themselves as Aisha and Thysia.

SCENE-7

They both dodge the attack and hurriedly escape from the scene towards the place where the
accident occurred. They found themselves in the middle of an ocean storm and hide in a cave to
safeguard themselves from the storm and the goons. But to their surprise, it wasn’t a normal
cave. It was the place where their fathers hid themselves from the goons when they tried to
bomb their submarine and died of cold and hunger. They find frozen bodies of their fathers and
get emotional. Aatifa who knows that if his father’s death is not proved as an accident, won’t be
able inherit his wealth, changes her mind and wants to kill Varun. At the same time, Thysia
reaches at the cave and very well knows Aatifa’s motive to kill Varun, points gun towards
Varun expecting Aatifa won’t interrupt. But Aatifa remembers her journey with Varun and finds
that she has finally fallen in love with him, stabs Thysia with a pen lying down and kills her.
But it was too late as Varun already understood Aatifa’s motives and left her there in guilt.
