BACKGROUND

Stress is a daily experience for the majority of people at their work and its management

is contagious[CITATION Lip19 \l 1033 ]. In this contemporary era, many theories are

evident of the fact that stress is a negative sentimental state which is a result of the

reaction between people and surroundings[CITATION DrS02 \l 1033 ]. Nonetheless, the

effect of stress could be either positive or negative, it is a personalized phenomenon and

can be distinct from situation to situation for different reasons[CITATION Str20 \l 1033 ].

When at high levels or over a long period, it can create long-term problems for

individuals. What is worse, the longer a person works for someone who makes them

unhappy, the greater the damage to their mental health[ CITATION Min17 \l 1033 ]. Also,

a difficult relationship between an employer and employee causes displeasure,

absenteeism, staff turnover and reduced work performance[ CITATION Ebe14 \l 16393 ].

McKee book “How To Be Happy At Work” based on decades of her experience with

Fortune 500 companies explains “if a person is unhappy at work, he or she is more

miserable from more than third of our lives.”[ CITATION Mej17 \l 1033 ]
