My favorite picture is “Ophelia”. Ophelia by John Miles based on
Shakespeare's play "Hamlet". According to the play, Hamlet kills Ophelia's father. Mad Ophelia goes to pick flowers, falls into the river and drowns. This is my favorite picture, because I love flowers, Nature, river and the girl, who is in the water, reminds me Shakespeare. The picture is both realistic and unrealistic. The flowers depicted on it bloom at different times of the year, so it was impossible for Miles to saw them together.
One of my favorite picture is “Fruits and flowers in a terracotta vase”.
Jan Van Os painted this Still life in 18th centuries. I love this picture, because there are many Flowers, fruits and it makes me feel relaxed. Picture is realistic, but The artist did not paint this beautiful "bouquet" directly - he combined all the details in his imagination. The pineapple in the upper right corner fits very well in such a layout, however if the pineapple were really placed in this place, it would definitely fall down. It is also noteworthy that no one has ever seen these flowers and fruits together. Tulips bloom in spring, roses in summer, and others, most in autumn. The artist created this painting for a year, painting all the plants one by one seasonally.
