Worsley Alumina is one of the largest and lowest-cost bauxite mining and alumina refining opera ons in the world.
Worsley manages a bauxite mine, alumina refinery and port opera ons in Western Australia’s South West.

This role will be based at our Worsley Refinery, where our employees choose to live in the Bunbury, Collie or other
nearby communi es which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pris ne
beaches and world famous wineries, this is an opportunity too good to miss.

The Opportunity

The purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to provide strategic support to business leaders in making good people
decisions across the employee lifecycle including building strong teams, influencing employee rela ons and driving the
South32 culture. The role acts as a change agent and an cipates needs of the respec ve business units as well as
serving as a coach and mentor.

The purpose of the role is:


Lead, influence and make decisions that improve regional performance within the team
Define business strategies and organisa onal policies to enable the strategic coordina on of mul ple major
projects and ini a ves to improve efficiency and effec veness of projects
Deliver the Business Plan through crea ng a culture of care and accountability as an enabler to con nuously
learn and improve
Provide professional, business-focused human resource service to a designated client group
Work with wider South32 human resources team to share good prac ce, ensure a broad consistency of
approach, and cover each other as necessary
Coach leaders to effec vely and consistently manage and take full accountability for people decisions
Work in partnership with lead teams to iden fy the people implica ons of strategic and business plans and
other developments

About You

Relevant degree or appropriate experience (preferable in HR/IR Organisa onal Behaviour, Change Management)
Excellent nego a on, influencing and persuasion skills.
Able to effec vely and crea vely challenge people, situa ons and current thinking.
Industrial and employee rela ons experience desirable
SuccessFactors experience desirable
