My name is Chloe DeWitt and I am a recent graduate from The University of Arizona with my
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation I moved to California and started the process of
transferring my RN license. Once I received my CA nursing license, I began searching for the
perfect new grad position for me. I am excited to begin my lifelong nursing career at a
prestigious hospital that allows me the opportunity to pursue my passion in caring for others.
As a new graduate nurse, I am confident I will transition comfortably into the hospital working
as an RN, given my current knowledge and skills. During my last semester in nursing school I
completed a 5-week preceptorship of 180 hours at the VA hospital on the Telemetry unit.
Although this assignment was challenging it allowed me to become strong in prioritizing my
day, formulating a plan of care for each patient, and interacting with the interdisciplinary teams
in a professional manner. Additionally, by the end of my preceptorship at the VA hospital I was
able to manage care for five to six patients and I am confident that I will be able to do so in any
setting.
I have a desire to work in a fast paced environment and utilize multiple skills on a daily basis.
My clinical and work experiences have well equipped me for a challenging new grad position. I
am eager to start my career at a respected hospital and can be reached by email at
cedewitt3@gmail.com or by phone at (719) 661-3239.
Thank you for considering me for this position and I look forward to hearing from you in the
near future.
Sincerely,
Chloe E. DeWitt
