Dear Urban Cupcakes Patrons,

On behalf of everyone here at Urban Cupcakes, we would like to take the time to honor you for being a
loyal patron. It is thanks to your generous support that we have been able to strive in becoming the
world’s largest family owned cupcake business with hundreds of handmade delicacies from all around the
world. Our goal is to spread love and appreciation for other cultures through the fine and native
ingredients used in the creation of our highly desirable cupcakes.

In order to produce the most authentic and splendid flavors from every culture, we receive these special
ingredients from all around the globe. Ingredient shipments travel mainly through plain from the different
continents and are then shipped directly to our bakery. Packages typically arrive within 2 weeks or
placing orders, giving us enough time to set them in the proper temperatures and settings once they arrive
to avoid any expirations. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, many of the flights carrying these foreign ingredients
were delayed as well as the time it took to deliver the packages to our doors. As a result, many of the
ingredients began to spoil as they sat in the inadequate conditions of the plane for extra weeks. It saddens
me to inform you that because of this unpleasant situation, some of our most valued patrons reported to
have experiences food poisoning. Urban Cupcakes would like to apologize for the major inconvenience
that our expired ingredients have caused to all of our cherished patrons. It is a very unfortunate event and
as a way to express our guilt, we would like to invite you to an inclusive holiday cupcake celebration
where we will be serving our most appraised desserts from across the world at no cost to you on Saturday,
December 12.

Here at Urban Cupcakes I can assure you that the safety and well-being of our customers is and always
will be our main priority. In the face of this unfortunate event, we promise that from this moment on we
will do everything possible to prevent further regretful incidents that impact our beloved patrons. We will
now be labeling ingredients with their expiration date as well as double checking the date before utilizing
any ingredients that may be harmful.

As always, it has been a pleasure serving you for the past 7 years and we hope to see you in the bakery
