The s gn f cance of empathy and a warm att tude n classroom rema ns an understud ed phenomenon n
educat onal sc ences. However, research has shown that the nteract on between the teacher and the pup l s
more mportant for learn ng outcomes than structural factors such as educat onal mater als and class s zes.
Furthermore, earl er stud es have found the teacher-pup l nteract on to be a s gn f cant factor dur ng the early
school years, but there are nd cat ons of th s nteract on play ng an mportant role also later, when the
academ c challenges become greater and the protect ve teacher-pup l nteract on can be less ntens ve.
