Dear Ms. Wolfe,

I know that your agency has been subject to new changes in staff and you are one of them. I also know
that you have taken part in working on Robots vs. Fairies, one of my all time favorites. I write to you
because I believe my novel, Second Guess, would be an excellent opportunity for partnership. Second
Guess is the story of one man, David, a beaten-down college kid, who suddenly starts to snap between
realities. We barely get used to his rundown mobile-home before he snaps and finds himself in an
unknown car, with a familiar looking driver in the front, and a cop car peering behind them. At any given
moment, David can jump again. With no recollection of his life from previous snaps, David is left to try
and piece everything together as it becomes perfectly clear that he doesn’t belong in any of these
places. The entire novel would be about 40,000 words long and is heavily influenced by The Twilight
Zone, Night Call Collect by Ray Bradbury, and Charlie Kauman’s filmography. Since my fascination or film
arose in my freshman year of high school, I’ve constantly wondered how certain artforms make you feel
the way they do. More specifically, I love the idea of getting to take a trip down another person's
psyche. This novel is a chilling, personal exploration of what would happen if you or I or anyone was to
just suddenly *snap* out of our normal existence. I’ve provided the first 5 chapters and the book
synopsis in the files attached below. Thank you very much for your time, I look forward to hearing from
you.

Sincerely,

Alejandro Marin Morales
