- Make sure you know the height limitation requirements for vertical expansion

in a hospital, as prescribed by DO and HLURB especially those that are located in

the urban area.

- Follow all latest DOH Design Standards for hospitals. Refer also to all the
issuances from other government agencies like DENR, MMDA, DPWH, etc ... with
respect to your project.

- Why do you have a site justification and site criteria when the site is existing
and pinpointed???? You should have presented a best-use analysis of your site in
relation to the extent of redevelopment concern of your proposal.

- PGH is a tertiary government hospital and yet a teaching hospital that serves
the needs of the health sciences courses/programs in UP Manila. You should have
presented case studies that are not only any other tertiary hospital here and
abroad but also teaching hospitals as well.

- Check details of your methodology.

- Revisit/review your Definition of Terms and other parts of your research.

- Change thesis title. Don’t use “Redevelopment”.

- Appreciate if there is “Table of Contents” in your book.

- Provide data on the number of patients admitted in PGH for the last 5 years. The
number of patient increase per year that mentioned is not enough to support your
proposal. Look for other data. And, this will support your proposal why need to
renovate or expand.

- How many ailment and/or disease that treated in the hospital?

- How many department does PGH have?

- Please include explanation of Research Paradigm in your book.

- Use thematic approach of RRL.

- Explain more your RRL. How those articles solve the problem of your proposal?

- Why the existing site is still good for renovation or expansion of the PGH?
Please
provide more pictures of the site and surroundings to explain and justify better.

- What is adaptive architecture and what’s its significance to your thesis?

- Besides increased number of patients, why not explore other issues present in
hospitals? This is a thesis
so depth and clarity is expected from you.

- Check the relevant agencies to guide you on the basic information necessary for
such facility.

- Lacks justification of why PGH has been selected when issues that will be
addressed can be evident in any
hospital.

- Base on your case studies, the facilities are interconnected. Isn’t this by
default how a hospital should be?
So how come your thesis will only address the number of patients / wards – that’s
it?
