The professor introduces the notion of visual intelligence which is a way of solving problems by seeing
patterns or having strategies in their mind. The lecture gave some examples to support the main ideas in the
reading passage .

The text says that people with spacial memory can recognize various patterns , that is why professor gives
the example of a chess board and figures on it because the players should remember the picture of this
board in their head to be successful in this game.

Moreover, in the reading passage it is mentioned that people with visual intelligence can predict some
things.For instance, the professor gives the idea of a blind fold chess ,like a player has to keep the pattern of
different boards in his head as he plays against multiple opponets. So, he can say what will be the next move
of the adversary . Besides this , the player can remember the shapes of figures and their moves which helps
him to predict the next action which be taken by the opponent . On the contrary, the professor tells us that if
the picture of the board doesn’t have any patterns the player cannot keep it in mind

Still visual intelligence can provide people with past experience . This is illustrated by past games of chess
which the player takes in consideration while having games in the future .
