“HAVE/ GET SOMETHING DONE”

We use the passive structure “to have/get something done” to

express when we want somebody else to do something for us. The
causative form have something done is a passive sentence form that
is used when we commission someone else to give their help.
Generally we use “have or get”, when we talk about professionals
(hairdresser, mechanic, architect, teacher, etc).

To form a sentence with the structure “have/get something done”,

the subject will be placed first (the person who benefits from the
action), then the auxiliary have (formal) or get (informal) is placed
in the corresponding verb tense, then the complement and the main
verb in the past participle.

Grammar:

Subject + Verb Have/Get + Complement + Main Verb in

Past Participle.
