paragraph.

Part 1: Explain your experience with job-hunting this summer for Work Based Learning. Explain the
struggles and successes you faced and how you believe they contributed to your current situation. If you
already had a job, explain why you stayed at this job for your WBL experience and how you plan to grow
at your current job over the course of the semester.

My experience with job-hunting this summer was difficult. Due to Covid-19, many places were
not hiring. I was frustrated because I could not find a place where the employees wanted to hire a high
schooler. Luckily, I can be an intern at West Cobb Orthodontics. The struggles I faced while looking for a
job payed off because I now am an intern at a place that can also be a potential career interest. The
difficulties I faced while job-hunting contributed to my current situation because I know that I am lucky
to have an internship and it forces me to do my best.

Part 2: What are your expectations for Work Based Learning this semester? What do you hope to
achieve from your placement? How do you believe your time in the WBL program will help you to grow
professionally?

My expectations for Work Based Leaning this semester are to learn more about a potential
career interest and to improve my social skills. I hope to achieve a better understanding of orthodontics
from my placement. I also hope to gain more knowledge about how different patients affect the
treatment plans. I believe my time in the WBL program will help me grow professionally by gaining an
insight into this industry and allow me to balance work and school.

Part 3: List three soft skills you would like to improve this semester? How do you plan to implement
these skills at your place of work?

I would like to improve on time management. Having an internship allows me to plan on what
time to leave and to manage my time while working so I can get the work done. I also would like to
improve my communication skills. This internship allows me to interact with patients, so I can improve
my social skills. I also want to improve my responsibility. It is my responsibility to get things done.
