1 sailor killed, 2 injured during exercise at Camp Shelby
CAMP SHELBY, Miss. -- One Sailor was killed and two others were injured Nov. 6 at

10:15 a.m. while training at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after notification of the next of

kin, and the names of the injured are being withheld in accordance with privacy guidelines.

The Sailors were conducting an exercise in preparation for their unit’s deployment to

Poland.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
