Responsibilities of the Subject Representative
The primary responsibility of the Subject Representative is to ensure that the course is conducted smoothly to the satisfaction
of the students and the faculty. The Subject Representative shall be the primary interface between the faculty and the students
who have taken the course. The Subject Representative needs to:

a) Discuss with the class on the course outline, evaluation methodology and communicate any feedback on the same
to the faculty post consulting the Students’ Academic Committee
b) Collect mid-term feedback (in the 6th week) and other interim feedbacks if needed, from the faculty and the
class and communicate it to the Students’ Academic Committee
c) Implement course related activities developed by the professors, class & Students’ Academic Committee
d) Communicate with the Students’ Academic Committee about all aspects of the course
e) Interact with the PGP office and the faculty on any rescheduling of classes and exams
f) Attend meetings held by PGP Office/faculty/ Students’ Academic Committee related to academic issues when
necessary
g) Collect material from the professor and distribute to the class if required
h) Help students and coordinate with PGP office in case of attendance recording problems in TAMS, if any
i) Coordination with the Students’ Academic Committee for grant of attendance for missed classes for institute
sponsored events like Sangram, Sangharsh etc.

**The Subject Representative is also encouraged to find innovative methods to improve the quality and content of the
courses
