Why do you think schedule issues often cause the most

conflicts on projects?
ANSWER:

Schedule issues cause conflicts:

• Different people have their jobs related to their personal lives.

• It is very difficult to find the time for the good meeting with all the project stakeholders and
personal meetings on various aspects of the projects.

• Most of the people do not agree with the poor time management and wasting it
unnecessarily.
• Project scheduling is very important. Many projects fail, as they cannot meet the time, scope,
time and cost of the project.
• Nowadays the biggest challenge is to deliver the projects on time and this is the main reason
for the conflicts.

• Once the schedule of the project is prepared, it is easy to calculate the performance by
subtracting the original time from how long it took to complete the project, where time is less
flexible.

• Sometimes the people try to push hard to complete the final product within the deadline of
the project, this leads to conflicts within the team and also affects the personal lives.
• Generally, people compare the timings of starting time of the project and the completion
time of the project, and sometimes bother about the change in the project with its time taken.
Hence, time is one of the reasons for project schedule conflicts.

Another reason for schedule conflicts is working styles and differences in cultures.
• Different people have different working styles.
• In the working infrastructure, some people is flexible in timings where as some people require
the complete schedule with proper details.

• Even different cultures have different attitudes about schedules.

• Different religions have different holidays in a year and so not so much work will be done.
• Some people value hard work and strict schedules while some people value to remain relaxed
and flexible.

• It often seems like not the realistic schedule and a quite aggressive one.
• Sometimes the people try to push hard to complete the final product within the deadline of
the project, this leads to conflicts in the working atmosphere in the office.

• Also, the delay in the project leads to conflict between the project manager and the clients.

• The task distribution is one of the major conflicts for the project manager to assign to the
tasks to the team members equally.
Therefore, schedule issues are the ones that cause the most conflicts on projects.
