First of all what is loop gain

Loop gain

-Loop gain is a function of how much output is fed back to the input or it is a measure of the gain of a
system controlled by feedback loops.note that "if the loop gain is too great the system may go into
oscillation"

Oscillation means repeated movement from one position to another

Now that we define loop gain lets proceed to measurement of loop gain

It is good engineering practice to measure the loop gains of prototype feedback systems

Why

Because it will verify if the system has been correctly modeled. And in order to analyze it and determine
if we could improve it. And to achieve better closed loop performance we desire for the converter.

Unfortunately, there are reasons why practical system prototypes are likely to differ from theoretical
models. Phenomena may occur that were not accounted for in the original model, and that significantly
influence the system behavior. Noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI) can be present, which
cause the system transfer functions to deviate in unexpected ways.

Let`s consider the figure below

if we measure T(s) with a break point between Z1 and Z2 ,we will

find: T(s) = G1(s) * ( Z2/(Z1+Z2)) G2(s) H(s)
