Academic stress is the students’ body reaction response to academic related demands as they perceives

challenging situations as exceeding the coping capacity and adaptive capability.

Academic stress involves mental distress regarding to their academic challenges because they fear the
possibility of Academic Failure.

Academic stressors can include:

(a) Work load;

(b) Difficult academic work;

(c) Demanding activities;

(d) Time pressure;

(e) Peer pressure;

(f) Relative pressure;

(g) Poor support from parents;

and (h) Financial problem

; All these stressors are enough to produce psychosomatic pain and psychological complaints such as
feeling sad, fear, unsafe, nervous, and depression.
