Essay for formative research

The world has been shaken by the COVID-19 pandemic, a situation that is affecting the lives of
several communities, families and students. One of the sectors that has had to be resolved
urgently to this situation of health crisis is education. Education does not stop, learning is not
postponed; that is why a great effort was made to implement virtual education strategies in such a
short time. It is true that there are aspects of personal training that will be very difficult to transfer
to the online mode; however, it is imperative in this context to migrate to a non-presential
education.

Many schools around the world made the abrupt transition to distance learning when covid-19
forced traditional schools to close their doors. But much of what students experienced at home
did not represent what real internet learning is, where teachers are trained to teach remotely.

In virtual education, the teacher's role includes planning and accompanying the student's learning
process to ensure that the objectives of the subject are met. In this sense, the teacher has to be
able to facilitate and encourage the use of the media ecosystem in which the student develops,
such as social networks and digital collaborative environments. Taking advantage of these
interactive platforms and network activities for educational purposes can be a very successful
strategy if you know how to use them.

To conduct an online class there are different strategies that could be employed, but more
emphasis is placed on Action oriented approach and Task-based language learning.

TBL can be applied as a complement to online courses. This aims to achieve a more student-
centred teaching-learning process, where it is possible to pay attention to individualities, achieve
motivation towards the subjects covered by the subject and develop a set of skills necessary for
their insertion in today's society.
