First of All, congratulations for finding this e-book. Art of Living Satsangs today have gained
phenomenal popularity and any person who hears the Bhajans sung in the Satsangs are mesmerized by
them. I did my first Art of Living program in 2006 and soon started singing in Satsangs. The melody of
the Bhajans blew me off completely and I found myself floating in a magical world filled with divine
music.
I wanted to learn the bhajans and songs(both singing and playing in the guitar) but sadly I could not
find a handy reference which would introduce me to Satsang as such. So I did my best to search for the
lyrics and chords for the Bhajans which I heard in the few satsangs I attended and the few CD’s I had
bought. I plodded on with attending as many satsangs as I could and figuring out the chords for the
Bhajans I heard. As most Satsang singers, I desperately felt the need of maintaining a notebook
containing the Bhajan Lyrics and the chords. I searched for bhajans lyrics, chords, e-books etc but
whatever I found left me thoroughly unsatisfied.
Now after conducting Satsangs for more than four years I finally decided to make a compilation of the
lyrics of the most popular Bhajans in Art of Living Satsangs. And I thought why not make it available to
everyone around the world. New singers and instrumentalists can print and use this e-book as a handy
reference which can be carried to Satsangs.
This e-book has been divided into sections consisting of Bhajans dedicated to Ganesha, Guru, Devi and
so on.. The sections help in singing the bhajans in the order in which Satsangs are usually conducted.
There are handy notes in some pages which i fancied to include as a speciality of each bhajan. Also
mentioned are references to singer(s) and music album(s) in which you could find the Bhajan. Apart
from the Bhajans I have also included 20 songs which can be(and has been) sung in Art of Living
concerts or other programs.
This e-book is the first edition and includes only lyrics of the bhajans/songs. It also does not contain
all the Art of Living Bhajans but only 108 most popular ones. The 2nd Edition will contain more
bhajans, regional bhajans(kannada/tamil etc.), chords and some additional resources.

Note: Based on the Raaga Madhyamavati, Jai Jai Radha Ramana is supposed to bring out the
Ananda(Bliss) spontaneously. This Bhajan is used to end all Art of Living Satsangs and its tune
lingers in the mind for long after the Satsang is over. As such, it can be said as the most popular Bhajan
in Art of Living.

Tumse O Jori
Album: Live in Hong Kong Singer: Vikram Hazra || Album: Mere Saheb Singer: Chitra Roy
Note: This song has a strong accent associated with it as it was written by Bhakt Ravidasa and sung in a
folk style. Chitra Roy has sung it in a pure style as it is sung in the Gurudwaras , however as Vikram
Hazra has done, some of the pronunciation of the phrases can be modified to the more popular Hindi
words. E.g “Bhaye Hum” Marked with a * above is actually sung as “phain hai”. Similarly words like
“Jahan Jahan” and “Bhagat” can be sung in the original Punjabi style as “Jeh Jeh” and “Phakt”. “Jori” can
also be replaced with the Hindi word “jodi”. How much of original accent you want to keep depends on
you. Also in the above lyrics I have omitted some of the paragraphs of the original just to give way only
to what is more popular and understandable.

Note: This is a sufi song and is sung by a number of Sufi Singers. Versions sung by Abida Parveen and
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan are the most Popular. The above is in the style of Abida Parveen, however even
she changes the paragraphs in each live performance. So I have in cluded only two paragraphs and
omitted the rest. So if the lyrics does not match with the version of the song you are having then its
only a small detail to be ignored.
