NARRATIVE WRITING

I was now ready to depart after the party, exiting my Cousin’s house. It was a Halloween party.
It was a lot of fun; to be honest, the party seemed to be quite good. As I came out of the house
the thundering of the clouds made me feel scared. The night was dark, gloomy, dusky.

As I was walking towards home, I came across a guy who was dressed up in a scary custom. He
started following me and just came Infront me moreover he smiled and disappeared. All the park
lights were off and there was nobody else around. Again, I heard another sound of footsteps.
They became louder and louder which gave me the idea of someone coming closer. I stopped. I
looked back. I saw no one. I heard nothing. there. There was a shadow lurking behind a car. At
first glance I thought it was a cat then I looked again, and I thought it was far too big to be a cat.
A shiver of fear ran up my spine. I thought that it could be a mugger or even a murderer!
Wherever I went I could still hear the footsteps. I began to walk faster to get away from the noise
of the footsteps. The only thing that could be seen as the moon, it was shining brightly. I was
taking a lot of different routes just to get away “from the thing”, but wherever I went I couldn’t
escape it. The moment I realized that it was about to hold me I started running and I was
screaming for help but it was midnight and I was all alone. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I
kept looking around making sure nothing was there. Every time I heard something my heartbeat
increased. Many thoughts were emerging in my mind that what if I was being pranked by my
friends as they knew that I was scared of these kinds of things and this was the only thing that
kept me calm. Suddenly someone whispered in my ears my name and I at that moment fainted.

When I opened my eyes, I was laying in my bed while my mom told me that I was shivering
with a high fever. All my friends were at my place and they were sorry for what they did. They
were the ones who planned everything, and the scariest thing was that I might have died at that
moment. My mother was also worried about what had happened that night. It took me so long to
understand the whole situation and to live a peaceful life again.
