Will future

Form: will + infinitive

She will come back at ten/ She won´t come back at ten/ Will she come back at ten?

Usos

A) Expresar certeza en el futuro. Suele ir con expresiones como I´m sure, o adverbios como surely, definitely…

We will definitely phone her tonight

B) Expresar predicción en el futuro. Suele ir con expresiones como “I think”, “Perhaps…”, “Maybe…”

It will be windy tomorrow

C) Para hacer promesas.

I will buy a present for you next birthday

D) Para tomar una decisión justo cuando estamos hablando.

It´s hot here. I will open the window

Present Continuous

Form: To be + gerund (ing)

Uso: hablar de planes futuros que han sido confirmados.

The president is opening the museum at 6 p.m

Adverbios de posibilidad y probabilidad

 Will + definitely.- estamos seguros de que algo va o no a pasar.


I will definitely pass English. / I definitely won’t fail English.

 Will + probably.- cuando hay muchas posibilidades de que pase o no algo.


I will probably go to university. / I probably won’t live in the USA.

Definitely y Probably se colocan detrás de will y delante de won’t.

 Maybe / Perhaps.- puede o no pasar algo (quizás)


Se colocan al principio de la oración.
Maybe I’ll live in Madrid when I am older.
Perhaps I’ll get married and have children.

Can, could, will able to

Usamos can para hablar de las cosas que podemos hacer algo.

Usamos could para hablar de las cosas que podíamos hacer en el pasado.

Usamos will be able to para hablar de las cosas que podremos hacer en el futuro.
