STAGE # I

CARBURETORS:
This is how the following stages are achieved. As we move up in stages the
performance level of the part goes up. This holds true for all parts that we build,
whether it’s a carburetor, engine or whatever. The different levels are all of the
stages starting from at Dominator level to the final Stage of that operation added
together. From all of our years of flow bench work, dyno testing and on track
success we have what we call a “know standard of improvements” That is
performance gains used to achieve that stage. From a Dominator level to a Stage #1
we go through all the blueprint modifications plus we fit a velocity stack or a legal
filter adapter to the carburetor. Then, by hand, we blend in all the edges and polish
the carburetor when it is legal to improve the flow by these steps of modifications.
Special flow bench improvements are made to the throttle shaft and the shutter
valve. The throttle shaft screw that holds the shutter in place, for the most part, is
handmade. These modifications are all a gain in airflow and an improvement in
performance. Most kits come with velocity stack, fuel pump, manifold, filter, linkage
kit and in-line fuel filter. Some kits vary due to installation and usage needs.

If you are a first year racer and have decided to move up a class or made a switch
from a 4/stroke class to a two/cycle class or the other way around. The best way to
get all of the Carburetion components that you need is in a matched kit. Carburetion
that is fast is like a puzzle. You need all the pieces from the right puzzle to get the
job finished. With a Stage # 1 Kit you will receive all the necessary parts needed
from the block out for most 4/cycles. In the kit you will receive all the needed
gaskets, fuel pump, linkage kit and filter. The carburetor and the manifold with the
filter adapter or velocity stack is mounted and matched up by hand and polished for
the matched air flow of the complete induction system. Some kits vary on parts
supplied due to installation and usage needs.
