1 THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE ON 14 SEPT 2020 WHERE A 19 YR OLD DALIT GIRL WNT
TO THE FARM . FOUR MEN – SANDEEP ,RAMU, LAVKUSH AND RAVI GRABBED HER
DUPPATA AWAY AND CAUSING INJURIES ON HER NECK .

2 THE FOUR MEN ARE ACCUSED OF RAPING HER . THEY ALL BELONG TO UPPER
CASTE . THE VIOLENCE LEFT HER IN PARALYSED STATE AND HER TONGUE WAS CUT
OFF

3 SHE SCREAMED A LOT IN PAIN. BEING HEARD OF IT HER MOTHER CAME TO SPOT
AND FOUND HER LYING DOWN IN THE FARM AND BLEEDING FROM THE PRIVATE
AREAS.

4 . THE CASE WAS REPORTED IN CHAND PA POLICE STATION AND THE VICTIM WAS
INITIALLY ADMITTED TO JNMC , ALIGARH WITH HE SPINAL CORD SEVERLY INJURED.
SHE WAS THEN SHIFTED TO SAFDARJUNG HOSPITAL WHEN THE CASE WORSENED.

5 . SHE DIED IN 29 SPET 2020 . THE VICTIM BODY WAS CREMATED WITHOUT THE
CONSENT OF THE FAMILY IN MIDNIGHT BY THE POLICE .

POLICE AND AMDINISTARTION


 a senior UP Police officer claimed that no sperm was found in samples as per forensic report
and that some people had "twisted" the incident to stir "caste-based tension." The officer also
said that the forensic report revealed that the victim was not raped. The family alleged that they
were faced pressure from the administration. A video emerged in which the Hathras District
Magistrate is seen pressuring the family into changing their statement.

CLAIMS
The main accused, Sandeep Thakur, claimed that he and girl were "friends", who "apart from
meeting, used to speak on the phone once in a while"; further claiming that her family was
against their friendship, and they killed her.

The UP police has claimed that call records show that the woman’s family knew the main
accused, Sandeep Thakur. As per the Call Detail Report released, around 100 phone calls were
made from a phone number registered in the name of the girl's brother and the main accused
Sandeep Thakur between October 2019 and March 2020.
FORENSIC DIVISION INVOLVED

For the accusation of rape . Medical examiners told that they didn’t see any
sign of rape attempt.( no traces of sperm in the sample ) . however, some of
the experts have raised questionable doubts on the accuracy of the report . as
it was based on the samples taken after 11 days

2. biological / pathology division :


The autopsy report of the Hathras gang rape victim confirms injury to the cervical
spine (neck) produced by indirect blunt trauma.
Major injuries in spinal cord

3. digital forensic division:

Citing a call detail record (CDR), police sources asserted that there were


at least 100 exchanges in five months between the mobile number of the
main accused and another number registered in the name of the victim’s
brother.

sixty security personnel have been deployed and eight closed-circuit television
(CCTV) cameras installed at the victim’s residence to ensure the security of her
family members.

5 .Photography division :

Photography and videography were used for reconstruction

4 . Analytical division :

Hair samples and clothes were collected for examination .
