Nancy said goodbye to everyone and added that she was late.

Father stopped her and questioned her where she was going.

She answered that she was going to a party.

He wondered what party she was going to.

Nancy replied that she was going to a birthday party for Gloria.

Then her father inquired where the party was.

She informed him that that the party was at Jane’s.

At that moment Peter interrupted their conversation and asserted that Jane was silly.

Father continued asking questions and the next his question was with whom Jane was going.

father.

Nancy answered that she was going with everyone: Andy, Kay, John and Jim. She added that
they were waiting for her at that time.

Father wondered how she was going.

Nancy said that she was going in Jim’s car.

Peter was surprised and asked her whose car she was going with. He reminded them that Jim
had a motorbike.

Nancy explained that Jim had his father’s car, and she begged her father for permission. She
pointed out one more time that her friends were waiting out front.

But her father kept asking her questions. He asked her who was Jim and how old he was.

She said that the party ended around eleven.

Father considered the party to be too late. He commanded Nancy to be back there by ten
o’clock.

Nancy was not satisfied. She called her mother to help.

Mother asked Nancy what it was.

Father wondered why that boy was honking his horn.

Nancy repeated that the boy was honking, because she was late.

Mother told Nancy that it was alright and she knew about the party.

Father permitted Nancy to go, but he also ordered her to be home by ten o’clock.

Nancy agreed and said goodbye.

Jim asked Nancy why she was so late.

Nancy exclaimed that her father ask every Friday night the same questions: Who, what,
where, when, why, and how. She complained that it never ended.

Jim demand to forget it. He wondered who was coming to the party.
