Subject: ABS/TCS – Service Stability Message DTC Set

Vehicle Involved: 2005 Cadillac Truck Escalade/ESV AWD V8-6.0L VIN N

Condition: Drivers Information Center (DIC) DTC CO131, CO196, CO290, and CO292

Repair Procedure: The most likely point of failure is the yaw rate sensor P/N
15189628.

1. Remove the passenger seat and carpet from the vehicle to access the sensor.
2. Inspect the part for its number P/N 15189628 old or P/N 15220053 new.

The new number is the revised replacement part. It must be installed in the correct
location, with the recommended fasteners using thread-locking compound as identified
in the service procedure. Do not use any paint, lubricant, or corrosion inhibitors. Use the
correct tightening sequence and the 89-inch lb. Torque specification.

The yaw rate reference reset procedure must be performed when replacing the yaw rate
sensor.
