The JEE (Main) Examination, 2020 for B.E./B.Tech has been conducted two times in CBT
mode, in this year. The first Examination was conducted between 7th and 9th January, 2020
in 6 shifts, and the second JEE (Main) Examination was conducted from 2nd to 6th September,
2020 in 10 shifts.
The Number of candidates registered and appeared for JEE (Main)-2020 [B.E./B.Tech ]
For those candidates who appeared in both January & April/September Examinations, their
better of the two scores have been accounted for.
The Examination was conducted without any glitch in 660 Centers in 232 Cities including 8
outside India and was monitored in the following ways:-
A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of
the Examination on the ground. 2 National Coordinators, 19 regional Coordinators, 3
Special Coordinators, 209 City Coordinators and 589 Observers were positioned.

CCTV Surveillance was done in all Examination Centre to ward off any malpractices
in the Examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live streaming of Centre
locations and recording of 7629 CCTV Systems per shifts of all Examination Centre at
the Control Room established at its office in Noida. Eight Virtual Observers oversaw
the Exams remotely at the NTA Control Room, in addition to 589 Observers in the
exam Centres.
In order to prevent any cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all
the Centres. A total of about 2500 Jammers per shift in all 10 shifts were also put in
place.
Candidates were given opportunity to see their responses to the question papers and
to Challenge the answer keys during 8th -10th September, 2020. The Final Answer
Keys of Paper-I have also been displayed today on JEE (Main) website:
jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The Ranks of the candidates have been decided taking into consideration better of the two
NTA Scores of all candidates appeared in JEE (Main) JAN 2020 and APRIL/SEPTEMBER
2020 examinations and in accordance with the policy already made available on the website
jeemain.nta.nic.in
The NTA Score Cards have been displayed on the JEE (Main) Website: jeemain.nta.nic.in on
11.09.2020.
Candidate’s particulars including Category and Person with Disability (PwD) have been taken
by NTA as mentioned by the candidate in the online application form.
NTA Score for Paper-II (B.Arch. &B. Planning) will be declared later on.
