INTRODUCTION
SSM-I is an acoustic announcement system that is developed for lifts. The production has
hardware and software property which is suitable for technology. It supports that lots of alert kinds.
In addition ıt is possible for setting voice easily by superior software. Also more than one voice can
be announced in a sequence ( for example playing Turkish, English, Arabic floor announcement in
an order) and some/all of them can be repeated until signal disappear.
The voices can be loaded to MicroSD cart in MP3 format. Device supports FAT/FAT32 file
systems, which means memory can be extended up to 32 GB. MP3 files are compressed file format
so 200-500 voice files can be loaded into 1 GB MicroSD cart.
Device can play high quality MP3 files ( 96Khz-16 bit mono or stereo). State of art hardware
design minimizes distortion on output by eliminating external distortion sources(i.e. fluorescent
light, door motor, etc.)
Additionally inputs and outputs are protected against to over voltage/ current and miss placed
power inputs situations. Positive(+) and negative (-) trigable lift positioning signal inputs provides
flexibility. The LEDs on device simplify maintenance and trouble shooting.
Device supports up to 64 floors in binary, gray and ML counter modes, -19 to 19 floors in 7
segment mode.
Floor input signals can be ;

1) 24V DC supply input
2) MicroSD
3) Rail socket holes
4) Speaker output connector
5) General signal inputs
6) Floor position data inputs
7) Floor counter option
8)Voice setting trimpot
The cart has totaly 19 signal inputs, 1 signal common input, 1 suppy input, 1 speaker output
connector and 1 MicroSD card socket. it is possible to mount device on a rail by holes besides cover
lugs.
There are leds, SD leds and MCU led which are used for 19 signal inputs on the device. Mcu led
flashes on when the device is activated and has not fault. When MicroSD card inserted, SD led
flashes off otherwise SD led flashes on.
Signal common input is related to floor position data inputs. General signal inputs is activeted
with 24V DC(100).
SETTING OF SOUNDS
Device can play high quality MP3 files. Setting of sounds is quite basic. The MP3 files are
copied to MicroSD card and their names are changed as explained below.
General signal inputs are;
BG.MP3: The sound is used when the lift is moving.
MU.MP3: The sound is used when the lift is moving upwards.
MD.MP3: The sound is used when the lift is moving downwards.
DO.MP3: The sound is used when the door is opening.
DC.MP3:The sound is used when the door is closing.
OL.MP3:The sound is used when the lift is overloaded.
DD.MP3:The sound is used when the car reaches destination floor..
OS.MP3:The sound is used when the lift is out off service.
EM.MP3:The sound is used when the lift is in emergency mode.
For floor announcement, same named MP3 files is used. For example in 7 segment mode, ıf there
is „-5‟ in 7 segment input signals , „-5.MP3‟ is played. As another example if the SSM-I is in gray
mode and G0-G5 inputs has 63. floor data , 63.MP3 is played.

For some cases more than one sound would be needed for an anouncement. In this case names of
sound files must be changed according to their priorities. For example if you need to play Turkish
floor name, English floor name, Arabic floor name, Turkish welcome message, English welcome
message in an order for 5th floor. Sound file names must be named as follows:
SSM-I
For some cases announcements may be needed to be replayed. For example in emergency case
emergency sound can be played or in overloaded case overload sound can be played repeatedly. To
achieve this „_C‟ must be added to end of required message. For instance if emergency message is
needed to replay ,change sound file name „EM_C.MP3‟ by adding „_C‟. Also „OL_C.MP3‟ means
that overload message will be replayed.
If both more than one sound are needed and some/all of sounds are needed to be repeated , „_C‟
must be added to end of required message. For instance in emergency case, Turkish emergency
message, English emergency message, Turkish „please remove car when door is opened‟ message
and English „please remove car when door is opened‟ message are required to be played in a
sequence and last two of them is required to be repeated until end of signal. For this case sounds
must be renamed as follows:
EM_00.MP3 => Turkish “Emergency” sound (will be played 1st)
EM_01.MP3 => English “Emergency” sound (will be played 2nd)
EM_02_C.MP3 => , Turkish „please remove car when door is opened‟ message (will be
played 3rd and repeated)
EM_03_C.MP3 => English „please remove car when door is opened‟ message (will be
played 4th and repeated)
