Chapter-1 Introduction

E - Organic Food Store- provides the best way for any individual to
improve their health. It is the best way to provide all the organic food products available in the
market at all in one place or say particularly at a website. This would not only improve one’s
personal health fitness but also, would make their family’s quality of food consuming more
preferable, sustainable and long lasting.

1.2 Project Details

1.2.1 Current System

Currently we have many stores available everywhere but the

problem is, there is no online application or website and if
present they are too costly and takes much time to deliver it also
that they do not have contents specifically organic products so
we decided to make a website where we could make people
purchase the food products all at a single platform rather than
going to different stores/websites.

1.2.2 Proposed System

Our system will provide a platform to minimize the efforts of

finding pure organic food products listed at one place. On one
click customer can buy the product or even add it to wishlist
(save for later)/add it to cart. This system will ease the work of
back staff by suggesting them whether they need a consultation
or not. It will help to analyse the customer’s past results. We
would try to get each and every single product of variant
category available at our platform. We would also be suggesting
customers different varieties of products which they can
consume or not, most importantly an add on feature would also
be made so that if any product is not available then it would be
made available as our top priority.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 9 GROUP ID : 1

1.3 Scope :
 It can be used in small places, and medium cities firstly and then on large scale.
 It can also help restaurants to simplify their daily operational and managerial task
as well as improve the dining experience of customers.
 Customers, admin, support staff can use the system for the ease and accuracy of the
work.
 Back staff can maintain data records of past customers to enhance their experience
for search results.
 Similar products can also be suggested based on their history.
 Our system would be connected with organic food product sellers only.
 Organic produce is often (but not always, so watched where it is from) produced on
smaller farms near where it is sold, so it makes our e-store.
 Registered users when logged in the system they get results according to their last
choices of products.
 If visitor user wants to get information only and not want to buy so they can put that
product in wish list and after some time again they can purchase that product.
 Bill amount will also be updated, if product price changes.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 10 GROUP ID : 1

1.4 Objective of the project

 One of the most important objective of the project is to make it as such so that whole
sort of organic product be available at a single platform.
 This system includes registration of customer, vendor details storing their details into
the system and also customized searching results and fully digital billing only after
the cart process is completed.
 The current applications uses manual system for management of all the products
along with organic products, though the information is mismanaged and insufficient
along with (when a customer is wanting to buy only organic but he/she always get
not only organic but inorganic products as in the similar products section).
 Hence, this system will help to recover above disadvantages.
 Back end Staff includes admin, vendors etc.
 To generate each and every details of customer’s food search and maintain their
privacy is our top priority.
 It enhances information flow.
 Suggestions becomes easy and minimizes the time wastage when correct algorithm is
used for search results.
 Reduces one’s time to search on every other platform unnecessarily.
 It becomes a quick access to the required information as it is only, ’one clicks away’.
 If a product is not available and the customer is wanting, then we at backend would
try to get and make it available to the customer as so through notification.

Information involves customer’s personal information, Backend staff vendor

information, and various facilities etc.

Chapter - 2 Proposed System Requirement Gathering

2.1 Stakeholders :
A person, group, or organization that is actively involved in a project, is affected
directly/indirectly by its outcome, or can influence the outcome.

 Admin
 He is the owner of the system who has all rights regarding to the system.
 He can manage the users of the system.

 Customer
 They will be soul of the database.
 They would only be able to search, buy, suggest, add to cart etc.
 They can even opt for being a seller if they want to.

2.2 Requirement Gathering Techniques

 Interview
The following description is about the Interview conducted by our team at the
center with client mostly asked by us.
The following is an attempt as if only the points required are asked else
Where the understood things are not written.
For e.g. - the search section.

1- Do you want payment gateways?

 Yes would prefer at least two any of them.

3- Do you want advertisements supporting your system?

 No as the customers can be mis-guided though.
4-Do you already have any current in your possession?
 No but i use many such already present in the market.
5-Why do you need such a system if many such are already
Present?
 I want a system to be focused on only organic not combined products
to be displayed as attention is required not deviation of thoughts.
6-How will you manage the system?
 I will hire an employee if necessary.
7-how would you want your system to be displayed in the home page
i.e. in the grid or parallel format?
 I would want it to be more parallel and in the categorial depth format.

8-Do you want customer review section or feedback of products or

both?
 I assume both are necessary in their respective fields.
9-what is your budget decided?
 50000 not exceeding the amount.
10-In how much time will you need the completion?
 11 months, acceptable.
11-How much security will you provide in your system? (client)
 The security will not be compromised If exception occurs then
it will be handled appropriately.
12-Do you have any specific process model to be followed?
 No.
13-How much word limit is required for any product description?
 Approximately 300 words.

14-How much return policy is required?

 10 days the same as other sellers provide.
15-Do you want your social media accounts to be linked up?
 Yes
16-Do you want only the product search or it should be mix and
match after the searched result?
 A mix and match would be efficient as though the customer cannot find
the searched product then he might be willing to buy a similar product.

17-How do you want the seller search result to be displayed?

 The seller who has maximum best quality products should be displayed
on top.

18-Do you have any specific hardware or software to be inputted? (optional)

 No whatever is of latest and best technology will be preferred.

19- How much capacity load is required for a customer base?

 At least 10 persons at a time.

20- Do you want live tracking of order or message updates?

 Message updated would be sufficient but try for live tracking.
21- What would you prefer over delivery updates?
 A notification is a must.

2.3 Consolidated list of Requirements

 Payment Gateway is needed for customer billing process.
 The computer system/device through which website is accessed should be
connected through Ethernet crossover cable to the Ethernet ports or if accessing
in mobile phone then it must have proper internet connection to enhance the
contents.
 Orders cancelled should be notified to the Backend responsible for to make the
change.
 Staff at database should be given the authority of registering the customers,
providing them their products if necessary and billing process.
 All the search/suggested product reports of customer needs to be stored and
only accessed by authority.
 If they do not have any product information, but a customer wants/suggests
any Product then we will try to provide them.

2.4 Project Definition

E- Organic Food Store – manages customer requirements in terms of getting organic

food products.
This system will maximize the customer load experience in getting all variants of a
product at a single place.
It will try to cover each and every product related to organic along with its
description especially non related search results would be eliminated. Scheduling
of delivery updates with customer becomes easy and it reduces time wastage and
he can get his product at top priority.

Chapter – 3 System Management and Planning

3.1 Feasibility Study

The main aim of the feasibility study is to determine that it would be

financially and technically feasible to develop the product or not(which is yes
from our point of view). The purpose of feasibility study is not just to solve the
problem, but to determine whether the problem is worth solving or not. and if it
wouldn't then why waste time on making such a project though.

3.1.1 Technical Feasibility

The Ethernet crossover cables i.e an internet connection with compatible
enough amount of speed too are needed and the project can be done with current
requirements fulfilled for the e-store and the software
technology is easily affordable by any organization , so there is no need of any
new technology.

3.1.2 Economic Feasibility

economic feasibility is a kind cost-benefit analysis of the examined project,
which assesses that it is possible to implement the project practically as it
focuses on more customer beneficiary for the content to be replaced by the mix
and match of other products and focus on the only searched result related to
organic. The project can be of more success if handled properly and wisely.
They can make a handful amount of money. This project includes acceptance
of payment methods and would work to generate more revenue and capital in
the market.
No hardware and software externally are required to operate the system. There
is no license initially present in it. Maintenance is minimal, No server charge
would be required. Any extra changes would be made from our side free of cost.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 16 GROUP ID : 1

3.1.3 Operational Feasibility

There are sufficient benefits of the system such as reduced workloads on the
back staff, because of maintaining proper data of the customer. Efficient data
management, proper search management which will indeed result in good
customer approach so as what they actually want if we shorten the path towards
their product, higher the chances would be of one buying them and proper
customer (satisfaction) management so that it increases our usage of using the
website i.e. resulting in more revenue generation. On the opposite side. As for
the vendor staff, there will be no waste of time, such results show that the system
is economically feasible to maintain their database. There will be no high cost,
as only internet is needed to update with us, which will in turn lead us for better
partners.

The system includes various modules like customer's product management,

search result management etc. which offers efficient support to make our
application exemplary smooth to use.

3.4 Process Model

As new requirements can arise in future incremental models are used. With the
help of it we can fulfill maximum user requirements. In every increment the needs of
the client are kept in mind and more features and functions are added. These increments
Form a base for customer evaluation. Many features can be added after the development
of the system that serves the main purpose. If there is less number of employees to work
on the project Incremental development model is very useful to complete the project
before the deadline.

Incremental Model:
 This model is more flexible – less costly to change scope and requirements.
 It is easier to test and debug during a smaller iteration.
 In this model customer can respond to each built.
 Lowers initial delivery cost.
 This process model helps to manage technical risks.
 Initial product delivery is faster.
 Work load is less.
 Customer can respond to feature and review the product.
 Risk of changing requirement is reduced.
 Core product is developed first that is main functionality is added in the first
increment.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 21 GROUP ID : 1

E-Organic Food Store

Page 22 GROUP ID : 1

Incremental model consists of several phases in which each and every phase is monitored
carefully and on successful completion is given as a prototype to the customer.
We have considered two phases in the model:-

Increment 1:
First phase comprises of consolidated list of requirements and system analysis comparatively
till a limit of first three chapters of the procedure to be followed. All the stakeholders of the
system, process models and project definition was wisely chosen and all the system
management and planning phase was completed within a given tenure. All the feasibility modes
and criteria’s were efficiently with ample amount of time were considered with a brief talking
among our respective team and then finally did the first phase completion.

Increment 2 :
Second phase comprises of system analysis and design and future conclusion i.e. the last two
chapters provided to us. All the UML designs were made considering all the stakeholders and
their workbase effectively in a manner that they do not conflict. Each and every actor of the
system has a predefined task except the visitors. The Data dictionary, User Interface and the
System navigation simultaneously describes the way they are presented. The User Interface is
just an approximate visual representation of how the system will be designed as though actual
representation may vary as more changes are possible in future as the whole designing section
is totally left out. So likewise all diagrams are just an approximate visual representation of how
the system will look. Similarly the same goes with future scope and conclusion as the
limitations may or may not increase. So effectively Future scope will also be increased.

Chapter 7 Summary

Why did we use an e-commerce platform?

As we know that e-commerce provides sellers with global reach. They remove the barrier of
place(geography).
Now sellers and buyers can meet in the virtual world without the hindrance of location.
A customer can shop 24*7. Our website is functional at all times.

7.1 Assumptions

The following assumptions should be fulfilled for this system:

 To use this website one must have a basic knowledge and erudition of using any
interface or an application.
 The backend Systems should be connected through Local-Area Network (LAN)
connection.
 The system must be able to respond to database software
Within reasonable time so that it gives a enthralling user experience.
 The system should be readily available to use across the day for
Everyone.

1-They care about you:-

Businesses want to tell the world “their story” and how they operate and all etc.
But as they say adding credibility is one thing, but what matters is that the customers just
want to know what you and your product can do for them.
2- They shop only on price: -
First time businesses owners often worry if they are not the cheapest option available.
But how often do you trawl around for the cheapest products when you shop? Do you think
Apple customers buy their products based on price alone?
What the point says is that not every price is concerned when your certainty throughout. As
long as the price isn’t prohibitive there are other factors that matter just as much if not more.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 77 GROUP ID : 1

3- They know what they want:-

Some customers know what they want and how much it would cost and if they find you first
you’ll make an easy sale. But most customers don’t really know what they want, they have
questions and they need reassurance.
Your website isn’t just a catalogue, sometimes you need to actually help your customers to
make the right buying decision and if they cannot find the one you still have the chance to
make your next sale of another unexpected product.

4-They have time for research:-

You know the market inside out but your customers probably don’t and they don’t have time
to check every single option. If you are in the right place and give them the feelings, you
don’t always have to be the best option.

5- They are rational:-

There will always be times when you have the best product the best price and still fail to sell
anything. The mistake you are making is assuming that buyers make decisions rationally.
Rational is easy to sell but don’t forget about the emotional needs of the customer.

6- They will find you:-

A digital marketing agency finds this a myth and will cost you a lot of money and time
eventually in cases of small businesses. There is an assumption very common that all you
need is a website to start a business. There is no “build it and they will come”, You need a
good marketing plan.

7-They will spread the word:-

Word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool for small businesses and if you get the formula
right you can do very well, but don’t assume that excellent service is enough to get the ball
rolling. You must prompt the customer each and every single time for reviews, ratings etc. till
they finally make it up to.

E-Organic Food Store

Page 78 GROUP ID : 1

7.2 Limitations

The following are the limitations of this system:

 Abending of server will lead to loss of database but if you have backed up then
this can be prevented.
 If a customer is seeking a product which is not available
currently then he/she must place a request for that particularly and till the time
the product is made readily available for him via mail, customer must be waited
till that period of time.
 Payment using Debit/Credit card is not possible in this system due to lack of
payment gateway server.
 This system can sometime consider high cost because the system needs
LAN/internet connection available on either PC or cellphone.
 As though we have used advanced technology but one never know that there
can be technological hindrance which can be due to either from our side or any
visitor's side.

1- Security
