UNIVERSITY LABORATORY MANAGEMENT
SYSYTEM
The laboratory management system is an application of the CRUD
system in which the entities (the authorized users who can alter the
data) have pre-defined functions.
Users can Create, Read, Update or Delete the data.
The five entities are:

 Inventory keeper :-

This is the main person in the system. He has all the authorities to the
data. He can make new entries, update the information of them, retrieve
the data for viewing and can also delete the data when not needed in
the system.

Whenever new apparatus of the laboratory arrives, first it goes to the


inventory keeper, where he creates new entries for them. And if the
name already exists then he updates the entries in the system.

 Laboratory Engineer :-

He also has access to all the data modification in the system. He can
update the data if something gets broken or gets faulty. He may also
delete the entry.

 Professor :-

A professor or a concerned subject teacher has limited access to the


laboratory apparatus system. When he comes to the lab to deliver his
lecture and perform experiments, he can Read the data of the laboratory
apparatuses. While he cannot do any modification process to the data.

 Student :-

The pupils studying in the university can also access the laboratory data.
But they are restricted. They can only Read the data from there by providing
their login credentials.

 Dean :-

He is the Head of the university. He has all the access to the data. He can
retrieve the data and if there is any need of changing that data then he can
do the data modifying.
