Rajeev Sadanandan

Mr. Rajeev Sadanandan is the former additional chief secretary of health in Kerala. He has been
involved with the health system of the state of Kerala and has been active in health sector reforms in
the state. He is the currently the CEO of Health Systems Transformation Platform (HSTP), . a not for
profit organization incubated under the aegis of Tata Trusts

In his past, he has revamped various processes to simplify health insurance access for India's poor, as
the head of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (2013–15). He headed India's rural housing program
—'Indira Awaas Yojana’ and the ‘National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)’ aimed at providing
financial assistance to the elderly, widows and persons with disabilities.

Mr. Sadanandan played a key role in controlling the situation during 2018 Nipah virus outbreak in
Kerala. With his hands-on experience and expertise in managing pandemics in the state he was
appointed as the CM’s adviser to combat Covid-19 pandemic for Kerala state.
