Vehicles

Vehicles are items used to transport two or more avatars over the planet’s surface. This includes land
based vehicles (example fig.1), water vehicles, air vehicles (fig.5) and amphibious vehicles (fig.4 ).

All vehicles use oil as fuel and all of them must be commissioned first before attempting to use
them. Commissioning a vehicle is done at specially built terminals that can be found in most large cities
across the planet ( fig.2). After commissioning it, in order to actually use the vehicle it must be spawned on a
suitable area. This is done by right clicking upon the vehicle located in the avatar’s inventory and choosing
the option: “Spawn vehicle” (fig.3) . This will allow the owner to set the vehicle on a suitable location of his
choosing.

Adding fuel to a vehicle is done by clicking on the oil located inside the avatar’s inventory and then
dragging it and dropping it upon the spawned item. After this the vehicle is ready for use by right-clicking on it
and choosing the option: “operate” or simply right-clicking it if viewing the vehicle from first-person mode.

There are two basic sets of keys necessary for driving a vehicle. The normal forward, left, right and
back movements are handled by the WASD set of keys. In addition to this the vehicles that are able to fly use
the left shift and left ctrl button to increase and decrease in altitude.

All vehicles benefit from protection against all types of damage, the value of this protection varying
with each vehicle type. In addition to this some vehicles have the option of mounting a weapon in the gunner
seat for use in pvp (player-vs.-player) areas ( all land-based and amphibious vehicles are capable of having a
mounted weapon).

Damage to vehicles can be of two kinds: structural integrity damage and tt (trade terminal value)
damage. Structural integrity damage occurs when different mobs or other players attack the vehicle but also
when the vehicle hits an obstacle at high speed. This type of damage is repairable by using a special repair
kit. The vehicle can only sustain a certain amount of structural damage until it explodes and becomes
unusable unless repaired. The amount of damage a vehicle can take varies from a few hundred to a few
thousand points of damage depending on the type of vehicle. TT damage occurs only when being attacked
and damaged by mobs or players. This damage cannot be repaired as all current vehicles are limited (L).
