Density ~55 kg/m3 (core density at +23 °C) (EN ISO 845 / ASTM D1622)

Thickness The thickness of the insulating spray coat has to be defined by designer,
according to project requirements and product performances. There is no
maximum thickness of the insulation. It must be applied in preferably less
than 20 mm per layer per purge to avoid shrinkage.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Compressive strength > 276 KPa at 10 % deformation (ASTM D1621)

Dimensional stability <1% (ASTM D2126)

Reaction to fire B2 (DIN 4102-1)

Thermal conductivity ~0.023 W/m·k (+23 °C / 52 % relative humidity) (ASTM C518)

Thermal resistance > 0.98 K·m2/W (25 mm thickness, 180 days, +24 °C) (ASTM C518)

Water absorption <2.5% (ASTM D2842)

SYSTEMS
System structure COVERAGE
For average 20 mm thickness on 1 m2 area per purge, 1 kg of mixed
Sikatherm® Foam 45 IN would be required. Hence approx 2.5–3.0 kg of
mixed Sikatherm® Foam 45 IN is required to achieve approx. 50–60 mm
thickness at density ~45 kg/m3.
The thickness and finish achieved per purge greatly depends on the applic-
ation technique and application equipment and may vary slightly in actual
site conditions.

PRIMER
Typically no primer is needed on concrete substrates, however on poor
quality or very porous substrates, Sika primer such as Sikafloor®-161 HC or
Sika® Primer-3 may be used.
