 This is the scheme for setting up and operating the institutional
mechanism for facilitating the financing of trade receivables of MSMEs
from corporate and other buyers, including Government Departments and
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), through multiple financiers.

 The invoice is uploaded by either buyer or supplier depending on the

method of discounting and is approved by the other party. Once the
invoice is approved, the financiers on the platform start to bid on the
invoice.
 Only MSMEs can participate as sellers in TReDS.

 Acceptance of the Invoice (factoring unit) by counter party (Buyer/Seller)

 Bidding by Financiers

 Payment made by the Financiers (of the selected bid) to the MSME seller
at the agreed rate of financing/discounting

 Payment by the Buyer to the financiers on the due date

 If buyer does not pay to financiers on the due date, MSME seller is under
no obligation to refund the money.
 Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is a one stop portal to facilitate online
procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various
Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs.
