Problem statement:
A cover letter is the first step to showcase that how your combination of skills and experience can fulfill the
requirements of the job description. It is a specific way of presenting yourself and show that your abilities, skills,
and experience are enough to meet the needs of the employer. On the other hand, it is equally important to filter out
the right job for you to apply for with limited number of bids/connects. Rationalized job selection keeps you from
inconvenience in the future.
Tasks 1 (Job Search):
Search and pick a job post relevant to your skillset/niche on any traditional freelance marketplace. (Provide

Tasks 2 (Preferred Job Type):

(Provide content*)
Tasks 3 (Job Evaluation):
Evaluate the authenticity of buyer/job based on Employment History, Payment Verification, Reviews and Hire
Rate. Explain why this job is worth considering. (Provide content*)
Tasks 4 (Effective Bidding Points):
Find out which of the effective bidding points may be appropriate to include in the cover letter keeping the job
requirements in mind. (Provide content*)
Tasks 5 (Cover Letter):
Write an appropriate cover letter for the job considering the effective bidding points that you have already selected
based on job requirements. (Provide content*)
Note: The 7 effective bidding points were taught in Lesson 97-108.
Solution

Tasks 1 (Job Search):

Search and pick a job post relevant to your skillset/niche on any traditional freelance marketplace.

Tasks 2 (Preferred Job Type):

Define your preference for selecting Fixed price/ hourly based job and explain why you prefer that type of job.
I prefer Fixed price job, because a fixed price project can be easy and convenient since it has an established
beginning and end—both in terms of scope and timeframe.
Tasks 3 (Job Evaluation):
Evaluate the authenticity of buyer/job based on Employment History, Payment Verification, Reviews and Hire
Rate. Explain why this job is worth considering.

Tasks 4 (Effective Bidding Points):

Find out which of the effective bidding points may be appropriate to include in the cover letter keeping the job
requirements in mind.

• The Beginning of bid response

• Presenting Portfolio
• Magic trick up your sleeves
• Closing of the bid
Tasks 5 (Cover Letter):
Write an appropriate cover letter for the job considering the effective bidding points that you have already selected
based on job requirements.
Note: The 7 effective bidding points were taught in Lesson 97-108.

“thankyou123”
Hello Oscar,
I have read your job post and concluded that it matches my skills. I have 2 years of work experience as a
virtual assistant and has also performed the role of social media manager for an online store, same as
required.
For further reference, please check out my portfolio here www.flickr.com/portfolio. It also includes the
links to those business pages on social media that I had managed in the past.
I would be happy to give you a free trial for social media management so that you can evaluate my
efficiency regarding management skills and my command over the English language. I am able to
strongly communicate in a persuasive way with customers.
If you're interested to hire me as your Virtual assistant, kindly open PMB for more detailed discussion.
Looking forward to your positive response.
Sincerely,
XYZ
