2) MOON CONSUMER ELECTRONICS

This is Moon Electronics. It´s a big factory near Tokyo. About 5.000 people
work there. The factory makes smart TVs, cameras, and computers. It
makes small items such us mouses too. Moon Electric sells these
products in many countries, it’s very important for Japan.
The factory has modern offices and a beautiful new cafeteria. Workers
usually eat lunch there, and sometimes dinner too.
Work starts at 8:00 in the morning and finishes at 5:00 p.m. A lot of
workers come to the factory by bus or train. Some come by motorcycle or
bike. In Tokyo public transportation is very modern, Japan has an efficient public transport
network. The Japanese transport system is characterized by its punctuality, excellent service
and its cleanliness so not many workers come to the factory by car.

Tesla motors

Tesla Motors is a North American company created in 2003 based in California. Under the command of
Elon Musk, it manufactures and markets vehicles, as well as components and batteries for other
manufacturers such as the Daimler group or Toyota. Taking the name of the physicist and engineer
Nikola Tesla, it develops induction motors by creating compact systems with a lower number of moving
parts than a conventional heat engine. Likewise, the company has its own patents for its manufacture,
which have been released to the public since 2014.
