Understanding what an influencer is
In the following chapters you will find relevant tips for your influencer career. It
also means that you understand what an influencer is and what he does.

Someone who has built a fan community is called an influencer. Such an

influencer is a person who, through his authority, knowledge and
relationship with the audience, has the power to influence other people
and their purchasing decisions.

The number of people following an influencer depends, among other things, on

the size of this niche. It is important to remember that an influencer is not just
a marketing tool, but a social person who freely chooses which brands or
products to promote in order to achieve a particular marketing goal.

There is nothing like authenticity on this path, because only a person who
follows this path honestly and genuinely will be believed.

People notice who is telling the truth and who only sells products.

Why do you want to be an influencer yourself?

After this short introduction, we will start immediately with the steps that will
lead you to success. First, however, I'd like to ask you a simple question:

WHY do you want to be an influencer?

Here comes a little secret for you, it may not inspire you: Being an influencer is
not nearly as glamorous and effortless as it seems. It is a lot of work and an
ongoing process not only to get your influencer status, but also to maintain it.

Also financially it takes some time until you are really profitable - and even
then influencers often don't earn as much as the public thinks! Of course, it's
possible to get rich as an influencer. It's just important that you don't get any
illusions from the beginning. It's a long road ahead of you to financial freedom!

But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't go down this road in the
first place! It just means you have to be realistic.
If you just want to get rich, there are easier ways to make money. Starting a
business or investing in training pays off much more than trying to become an
influencer.

But there are also many good reasons why you should choose an
influencer career:

● You have an audience

● You can make money with something you passionately like to do
● You get a voice.
● You get a huge platform
● You get to know many interesting people
● A lot of people love what you do and look up to you.
● You CAN get rich.
● You work free of time and place.
● You're your own boss and you decide who you work with.
want

These facts are more important to many people than money.

Many years ago, I knew I wanted to start an online business. So I started to

write a lot and also to create other types of content like videos and pictures. I
started a blog, put a shop online and wrote a book.

But I didn't do that to get rich as much as possible, but to finally do what I
enjoyed from the bottom of my heart. I knew exactly where I was going with my
new company and I also knew that a large audience would make it easier for me
to get my company on the right track.

So find out why you want to become an influencer and be ready to go this way
no matter how much work it takes. Without true passion for the cause and
enthusiasm for the life of an influencer you will not master this path.
Different types of influencers

The majority of influencers fit into

the following categories, with the last
category being the most important:

● celebrities
● Industry experts and thought
leaders
● bloggers
● Micro Influencer

The majority of social influencer

marketing today takes place in social
media, mainly through micro
influencers and bloggers.
Industry experts and thought leaders
such as journalists can also be
influencers and occupy an
important position. Then there are
celebrities. These were the
original influencers, and they still
play a role, although
theirimportance is decreasing
more and more.

Bloggers and influencers in social media channels (mainly microbloggers) have

the most authentic and active relationships with their fans. Brands now
recognise and promote this.

Famous influencers

Influencer marketing was originally created by prominent people. Companies

have found that their sales usually increase when a celebrity supports their
product. There are still many cases where companies, especially high-end
brands, use celebrities as influencers.

The problem for most brands, however, is that not every celebrity is willing to
be an influencer and support their brand - and if so, then their prices are
priceless. The exception is when a company manufactures a product that a
celebrity already likes and uses. Then it is much more likely that the celebrity
will tell the public how well he thinks the product is. I'm sure, for example, that
many musical-instrument manufacturers that well-known musicians play their
instruments.

A further problem of celebrities as influencers is if they are not credible with the
target group. Justin Bieber can be highly influential in recommending acne
cream - but if he were to advertise real estate for pensioners, it wouldn't be
authentic and his fans would feel set up by him.

Celebrities can have many fans and a gigantic number of followers.

However, it is questionable how much direct influence they exert on those
who follow them.

Bloggers

Blogging has been closely linked to influencer marketing for some time now.
There are many influential blogs on the Internet. If a popular blogger
mentions a product positively in a post, it is very likely that the blogger's fans
will also want to try the product.

Many bloggers have built up a considerable following in certain areas. For

example, there are very influential blogs about personal development, finance,
health, parenting, music and many other topics, including blogging itself. The
most important thing that successful blogs have in common is the
respect of their readers.

If your blog is big and influential enough, companies will want to buy sponsored
posts on your website. Unlike a casual mention in a guest post (a post on
another blog) that you wrote, you are paid for a sponsored post.

Of course, a blog is not the only type of popular content on the Internet.
Videos are now very popular, mostly a channel on YouTube.
Companies often choose popular YouTuber to market their product.

Micro Influencer

Of course, bloggers and YouTuber rarely rely on an existing audience to come

to their site as if by magic and look for new information! Instead, they post
their posts parallel to the blog also on their social media channels - which
makes them micro-influencers.
But what exactly is such a microinfluencer?

A micro influencer is a normal everyday person who has become known for his
expert knowledge on a certain subject. As such, he has usually gained a
considerable number of followers in the social media. Of course, it is not only the
number of followers that makes up its influence, but also the relationship and
interaction that a micro influencer has with its audience.

It is possible that a micro influencer does not even know that there is a
company that is trying to win him over for its advertising until it comes to him.
If this is the case, the company must first convince the influencer of its value.
Micro Influencers have special fans who are interested in the subject being
posted about - and they will not harm the relationship with their followers by
promoting a product that does not suit them.

The unwritten rule that any relationship between micro-influencers and brands
must be targeted means that they are often choosy about who they want to
work with. Some are happy to advertise a brand for free. Others expect
payment. Whatever the price, it is generally very unlikely that a micro-influencer
will be associated with an 'inappropriate' brand. Micro influencers are becoming
more and more common and famous.

Some have evolved from virtual darkness to widely known celebrities. This
applies in particular to Generation Z, which spends more time on the Internet
than on television, in sports or in the cinema. They are the influencers of the
future. Even if you're interested in something relatively unknown, you'll
probably find a Facebook group or a Pinterest board dedicated specifically to
your topic. And in these niches, microinfluencers are establishing themselves as
real experts.

But what kind of niche is this exactly and how do you find your
special field?

Define your area of expertise and find your niche

If you think you're gonna go out there and be an influencer overnight, I have
bad news for you. The influencer scene is incredibly crowded, and it's unlikely
that you'll succeed without a skillfully chosen specialty. You want to post about
everyone and everyone? Of course you can do that, but it is unlikely that you
will become a successful influencer! That's why you need a so-called niche.
What exactly is a niche?

A niche is a part of a market. For example, there is a huge market for beauty
products. This market is divided into further sub-sectors such as creams,
peelings, body care products, hair care, etc. These individual sub-areas can be
split even further. For example, one could divide "creams" into vegan creams,
especially fatty creams, creams for people with acne, creams against wrinkles
and creams for children.

Pick a niche that interests you passionately. Maybe you're good at handicrafts?
Or do you love food and have a huge interest in the kitchens of different
countries? Maybe you are also a fashion expert and always know the latest
styles and trends in the niche handbags made of fabric?

Every single person has topics that interest him and to which he can
say more than others!

These subdivisions can be continued even further. That's how you find your
niche. It is important that there is a need for this niche. You get nothing out of
choosing a theme that no one cares about. For this purpose, you can use
various tools to find out how many people search for your new subject every
month. The topic niche search would loosely fill another complete ebook and
would therefore blow up this one. If you want to know more about niche
marketing, I recommend this page here.

In short, the niche search works like this:

 You define your interests

 You analyze where there is a need for information
 You narrow the niche
 You find the perfect target group
 You will definitely get much better results if you define a niche.

For this you can ask yourself the following questions:

 What can you do better than everyone else?
 What can you talk about for hours?
 Where do other people ask you for help?
 Which topic would you love to learn more about?

Take the time not only to define your area of expertise, but also to
write down what you are not and what you want to be!
In niche search, you can easily be tempted to write about a topic that would be
profitable. Suppose, for example, you've seen a lot of people write about fitness
and have won countless followers. Should you start writing about fitness now,
too? The clear answer is no (unless you are interested in fitness and enjoy
writing about it).

You don't last long to serve a topic that doesn't interest you at all and that you
have to read a book about every evening to become an expert. Quite apart from
that, of course, people realize whether or not you are being honest with them
and whether an influencer is actually burning for his subject.

Your posts, videos and pictures should reflect what really interests you - and not
some random stuff. Always consider whether you still have enough ideas in a
year to write or post new and interesting things about your topic. Later you can
expand your niche at any time, if it fits thematically! Your niche could for
example be a combination of different themes, as long as they are not random
and you connect them skillfully! You could eat an influencer in the niches, travel
and become a lifestyle and report on how you travel the world as a digital
nomad and try out the different cuisines.

The right strategy from the beginning

You can develop a strategy from the beginning on how you want to act as
an influencer and on which social networks you want to post.

Every social network is different: Facebook,

for example, is mainly for socializing and
interacting with other people in groups,
while Instagram is for people who intend to
post almost exclusively images.

YouTube is the right channel if you want to

watch the niche "retriever puppies" and
want to post videos of the dog puppies. If
you have a financial niche or are traveling
for business, Xing or LinkedIn are better
suited for you.

Of course, a combination of different

social networks is also possible.
Once you have selected your networks, you can create a so-called editorial
plan. A simple Excel spreadsheet is enough. Here's what you memorize:

 How often you post (Attention: the perfect post - frequency is different in
every network! For example, while you can post on Twitter 20 times a day
because your tweet is going down very quickly anyway, you shouldn't
overdo it on Instagram or Facebook to avoid annoying people. On
Instagram, 3 posts a day are ideal e.g.
 At what times you post
 What is the content of your post
 Which hashtags you mainly want to use
 Which target group you would like to address

Find your suitable target group

The better you know and respond to your target group, the greater your
success will be. An influencer is to know his target group exactly and to respond
to your wishes and questions.

According to current market research, people are interested in a

product, a topic or a service for 8 reasons:

1. Reputation, prestige
2. Fear and problems that are to be solved with the purchase
3. health
4. Safety and security
5. Comfort and convenience
6. enrichment
7. Curiosity and discovery
8. Social commitment

So find out where you can cleverly use your lever. Write your content like
you're talking to your target audience. And ONLY with her. Your target group
determines important elements of your strategy, such as style, tone and
salutation. So find out everything you can about your reader.

Here are a few examples:

● Approximate age
● Probable sex
● Where do people come from?
● The Hobbies
● reading preferences
● Does he/she like magazines and blogs?
● Does he like to write?
● Where on the Internet is he? These can be social networks or forums

The more you can find out, the better! Create a wish follower by imagining it
as detailed as possible. Visit forums and groups in the social networks where
your follower stays and read what kind of questions are bothering him, what he
has problems with (which you can solve at best) and what interests him. The
more precisely you can describe your desired customer, the easier it will be for
you to start your Influencer project.

Where can you find your dream customer?

You want to become an influencer on the subject of insomnia and later sell
homeopathic sleeping pills on your own website. You also want to write a
book about the topic and sell it on your homepage.

In this case you could e.g. visit a forum to the topic. Surely there are groups on
Facebook or videos on YouTube, where you can also browse through the
comments.

There are countless possibilities where you can stay on the net to find
your desired customer. Here I have put together the three best and
most effective ways for you:

The social networks. But it's useless if you randomly distribute your content
there. Let's take Facebook as an example: If you open a page where you
publish your content, that doesn't mean that the visitors are coming in droves.

It is much more effective to join groups that deal with your topic. From now on
you will observe which questions and problems the people there have, which
you could solve with your contents as an expert.
Now you can offer targeted solutions.

Don't think about your own advertising. Be helpful, friendly and offer
free content, not just your products. Don't spam people with links
too, you're not making yourself popular.

Forums. Of course, those who deal with your topic. Write articles, help
other users and find out more about the wishes and problems of your
potential readers.
Blogs Track topic-related blogs. Comment on them and get in touch with the
author and his readers in this way. Seriously, don't be afraid to write to a
blogger personally. Most of them are very helpful and are happy to share their
knowledge!

Understandably, people want to be sure that the person who gets their trust
really deserves it. What you create and publish on the web shows people what
you are for a person and how your company works. They can tell from your
content whether you know what you're talking about. The more open you are,
the better.

Your Biography

Now you start fine-tuning your social accounts

and possibly your blog. The very first thing you
should focus on is creating a biography that
immediately attracts people's attention.

You have only a few characters - and these few

words must captivate your target group! Be as
warm and persuasive as you can. One or two
emoctions won't harm your bio either.

Remember, your biography is one of the first

things a brand or potential fan sees of you. So if
you want to become an influencer, make sure
your bio is meaningful, interesting and crunchy!
Just have a look at the biographies of influencers
that are already known, there you will find some
inspiration!

Influencer and travel blogger Helene Sula, for example, has a convincing and
attractive Instagram bio. In the name field she has cleverly integrated the
"travel blogger" so that her profile appears in search queries for people
interested in travel. And in her biography she tells how she moved to Germany
to explore Europe and leave everything behind. Except for her puppies and her
husband. Isn't that remarkable?
Running a website in parallel

I would always recommend, also as Micro Influencer, to create a blog parallel

to your networks. Especially because any social network can close or the rules
change so that it is no longer worth it for you. If you are now exclusively
dependent on this network, in the worst case your whole career is over.

But if you have a self-hosted blog at the same time, this can't happen to you! It
is a central place and a good security for your future influencer career.
A very good blog provider is Wordpress. The operation is very easy to
understand and you have quickly understood the system. Google also loves
Wordpress, which is good for your SEO. No matter what social network you're
on, there are many plug-ins that let you connect your channels to the blog.

Also other projects like a shop or a portfolio are very easy to realize with
Wordpress.

Develop your content strategy

Without good content, you'll never be a successful influencer. Content means

not only to create written content but also to create videos, images or other
media content. It is important that you always publish original content.
Copying and posting content twice is not advisable. Google doesn't like that
either.

Think about which form of content will predominate with you. That of course
also depends on the social network in which you operate. The networks have
already been discussed. For example, if you are an Instagram Influencer, it is
not advisable to write very long texts. The motto here is: short and crisp. On
Facebook, on the other hand, you can occasionally publish a longer text.

Especially with long texts you should take care to include pictures,
infographics, slideshows and videos. This loosens up the text and keeps
your readers on their toes.

Don't forget, sources for all data, quotes and indirect mentions which you use in
your post. This includes research, whitepapers, studies and advice from experts in
your niche.

Later we'll talk about how you create quality content.

Always be authentic

In principle, influencers have been around for a long time, but they weren't
called that yet: as early as the Middle Ages, women looked up to well dressed,
distinguished women and copied their fashion. It was exactly the same in every
human epoch: Influential personalities stood on the presentation plate and were
aware of their effect.

The only difference is the platform. Nowadays, social media dominates the
market more and more - and has rewritten the rules.

And there was always one thing that made success or failure: the
authenticity of the influential personality. Only those who are really
honest with people and who are 100% satisfied with their statements and
activities are successful.

Just be honest

Many influencers have at times come close to

the limits of truth. So some will tell you
privately that the cuddly, flawless life they
present in the social media is far from reality.

But when it comes to being a long-time

respected influencer and working with brands,
honesty is really the best decision. Because
the cotton candy - no one will take your
life!

Let's just take a sponsored trip as an example.

If a travel company has offered you a free trip
to promote yourself and you want to reach
your target group about your planned trip,
that's sponsored content. Don't pretend you
magically came to the 5-star resort when you
complained yesterday that you can barely
afford your daily coffee.

Your followers know it didn't happen that way. Better mark the content honestly
than sponsored and make it clear to your audience that you're naturally happy,
especially because you're short right now! You can also use the #sponsored
Hashtag. That would be authentic and honest!

It's also good if you learn to say no. If a product doesn't suit you or you don't
want to cooperate with someone, it's the more honest way to just say no to
it.

Search contact to known influencers from your

niche

Now that you have a general idea of the niche in which you want to start as an
influencer and the platform on which you post, you need to check who is
already in that niche - your competition! Start by searching for the influencers
in the network you have chosen, but expand your search as needed. Find at
least 10 people who are already experts in your field.

Then you analyze what your competitors post, do and what hashtags
they use. What do the fans react to the most? What has the greatest
success?

You don't do this to steal content and copy it, but for your inspiration! For
example, maybe an influencer in your niche posted a great post on Instagram
the day before yesterday and you can shed light on the same topic from a
completely different angle?
Which social network suits you best?

Social media as number 1 contact point

Over the last decade, the importance of social media has grown strongly
I've put on weight. According to a study by "We Are Social" and "Hootsuite",
3.028 billion people actively use social media - that's 40% of the world's
population. All these people look up to social media influencers and
accompany their way.

Social media influencers are people who have

made a name for themselves through their
knowledge and expertise on a specific topic.
They regularly publish articles on this topic on
their preferred Social media channels and
generate large numbers of enthusiastic people
who pay attention to their posts, share them
and evaluate them.

Brands and companies love social media

influencers because they can create trends and
encourage their followers to buy products they
promote.

There are dozens of different platforms on

which you can become influencer like YouTube,
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, LinkedIn,
Blogging, Podcasting, Xing, Twitter and
many smaller and less known networks.

The thing is, you can't be influential with everyone at once. If you're not rich
and can hire someone to manage all the networks for you at the same time,
you need to choose one or two channels to focus on. Start with the following
questions:

 Are you good in front of the camera? If so, YouTube might be a good
choice.
 Do you like writing? Blogging (on your own page or on an
platform and medium) could be a good fit.
 What kind of content do you want to create? If you want to take
great pictures, take a look at Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook.
 If you have a voice made for the radio, yucould be a great podcaster.
o
 Where is your target group? If your audience doesn't really use
Snapchat, it's not worth starting an Influencer career there!
 Can you dominate the channel or is it already saturated with influencers?

Because the question on which network you will become an

influencer is so important, I will now briefly examine each of the
large networks:

Instagram influencers become

You want to try to become Instagram Influencer? In this case, not only
should each of your photos be visually appealing, but it should also reflect an
overall graphic concept of your timeline. This means that all your photos in
the feed will work well together.

Many Instagram Influencers follow a certain style when editing their photos,
so that a certain color recurs over and over again or the photos always have
a similar frame.

Most successful influencers have started using Instagram as a hobby. They

share pictures and videos of their lives and the activities they enjoy. It is
unlikely that from the outset they have thought of associating themselves
with brands.

They're just on Instagram to enjoy themselves and network with others. Over
time, they realize that people appreciate and share their contributions. This has
the effect of making you feel like an athlete, sharing more.

Instagram can take a lot of time. You can spend eternities perfecting and
posting your pictures, creating captions and telling stories.

On Instagram, you can use as many hashtags as you can. Hashtags and
how to find the perfect ones for you are still coming.
Use Facebook

Facebook, along with Instagram, is the top choice when it comes to social
media influencer marketing.

Why is Facebook such a great choice? Facebook is an excellent platform for

influencers for several reasons. Here are some of the best:

Popularity

According to the Pew Research Center, Facebook is still the most popular social
media channel. Statista reports that the platform has 1.94 billion active users
per month. This makes it the most used social media channel and offers high
chances to find your target group here. With such a large number of users,
Facebook offers you the opportunity to reach a huge target group.

Commitment

Facebook is not only very popular, but also attracts a dedicated audience.
According to another Statista study, at least 1.25 billion of the almost 2 billion
users log on to the platform every day. And a MediaKix study showed that every
user spends around 35 minutes of their day on the platform, only five minutes
shorter than on YouTube.

Influencer Preference

According to a Bloglovin study, Facebook is the second most preferred

platform among influencers, beaten only by Instagram.

Analytics

Facebook offers brands an integrated analysis tool called "Facebook

Insights. Facebook Insights is a pretty powerful tool. It is very useful for you as
a Facebook Influencer, because it helps you to better understand your target
group:

● Scope and user statistics can be queried

● You can evaluate comments, likes and reactions and see how often
your contribution was shared - and by whom.
Plus, Facebook, along with Google+, is the only network where you can share
all types of content without restrictions: Videos, pictures, long texts and
podcasts.

On Twitter you can cast a spell over people

A Twitter influencer is someone who makes other Twitter users talk about a
certain person, a certain place or a certain thing. You can find news on Twitter
before it even gets on TV. Messages are collected and newly tweeted and thus
often become viral. Twitter influencers have a great influence and the topics
they tweet about are likely to be shared frequently. Real trends can develop
from this. You'll have to be brief on Twitter, though: Only 280 characters are
currently allowed.

When a Twitter influencer mentions a particular brand, trend or element of

interest, its followers twitter it further. Some Twitter influencers are industry
experts known for their expert know-how. They present complex content to the
public in an easily understandable form and tweet about new events in the
industry.

Startups often have trouble being noticed in the social media, and Twitter
influencers can help to make them better known in one fell swoop.

On Twitter, select hash tags that are industry-specific and easy to link. Hashtags
draw your tweets to users who are not yet your followers.

Some tools and websites like Hashtagify will help you decide which
hashtags to use for a particular tweet. Make sure, however, that you
don't use too many hashtags (3 at the most), because it is unlikely that
a post with too many hashtags will be read.

If you also have a Twitter profile, which is not commonplace, with a funny
slogan and an interesting profile picture, you make yourself interesting.
Pinterest - an alternative to Instagram?

There are 3 simple ways how you as an Influencer (on Pinterest too
"Pinfluencer) on Pinterest and build a fan base for you. I suggest you try putting
these three strategies into your Pinterest
- Marketing to integrate:

Follow the "Pinfluencers" in your niche

If you follow someone on Pinterest, they get a

notification. Most people will open them to see
what it's about and then decide if they want to
follow you back. So you only have a few
seconds to make an impression. That's the
best way:

● Complete and interesting bio

● Keep the most important boards up
● Beautiful profile picture or logo

Start a group board

A group board will help you increase your

reach on Pinterest because people have to
follow you on Pinterest to become a contributor. And if someone follows your
group board, you'll get another follower every time. Invite other influencers
from your niche to join your group board.

Pin new content

Statistics show that about 80% of the Pinterest Pins are Repins. People create
new content every day ... and if you pinst this fresh content first, people will
notice and you will be considered a trendsetter.
YouTube for video lovers

YouTube has long since become one of the largest social platforms.
According to Statistics Brain, 1,325,000,000 people use YouTube. Is it
surprising that YouTube stars are often more influential than "traditional"
celebrities?

Of course, successful YouTube influencers do not offer their videos for free: You
have noticed that it is quite possible to earn money on YouTube. This is usually
done by allowing advertising to be included in or before their videos - or by
advertising a product in their videos themselves. If you manage to be one of the
most famous and influential influencers on YouTube, you can make good money.

Pew Die Pie is a Swedish YouTuber and video game commentator who is best
known for his Let's Play comments and vlogs. He is a perfect example of a
successful YouTube career: his channel currently has 49.1 million
subscribers. He's very popular! In early 2016, MoneyNation analyzed the
numbers to see how lucrative YouTube is for Pew The Pie:

He has an average salary of $12 million a year and has earned an estimated
$124 million since he started his YouTube career in 2010. MoneyNation has
calculated its net assets to be $78 million. That's maybe only a third of Miley
Cyrus's fortune, but it's 625 times what an average American earns!

How do Pew Die Pie and other successful YouTuber earn their money? It's
definitely not like you just upload a video to YouTube and hope it gets millions
of hits. In fact, the real answer is very boring - because it works just like any
other social network or website: to make money on YouTube, you have to
create high-quality content that attracts traffic.

Only when people click on your videos millions of times and then
also visit your advertising links, the whole thing becomes lucrative.
Using Hashtags correctly
How do influencers use hashtags and why do hashtags play a critical
role on any network?

Hashtags are important for people to find your content. They search for specific
terms and find your contribution. The use of hashtags is different in every
social network:

Instagram:

You can use as many hashtags as you can (an extra tip: don't post them
directly below your post, but in the comments). This looks more
professional and makes your contribution look tidier. Currently
Instagram allows 30 hashtags. It is important to make sure that you use topic-
specific hashtags.

Many people think Instagram is about using popular hashtags because they
have a long range. This is wrong, however, and you would only perish in the
masses.

Besides, you want people who are interested in your topic to find
you.

Facebook:

It's a question many people ask themselves: Should you use hashtags on
Facebook - and if so, how many? In fact, there is no official statement from
Facebook. However, research has shown that hash tags on Facebook tend to
have a counterproductive effect on reach. While targeted hashtags are very
effective on other social networks, it's better not to use them on Facebook.

Twitter:

Hashtags are allowed and wanted, but here it is advisable not to exaggerate.
Twitter users don't like posts that just come from hashtags.
exist. It works better if you assign one to at most three topic-specific,
meaningful hashtags to your post.

Pinterest:

There it is the same as on Instagram, but only 20 hashtags may be used. Here,
too, it is important to select the hashtags well and adapt them to your niche. An
extra tip: There are tools like IFTTT that let you automatically share your
Instagram images on Pinterest. They are then provided with the instagram
hashtags.

Create contributions with added value

You must have a solid foundation - and the most solid foundation you can have
is your content. In order to create really good, high-quality content, you can
orient yourself on these three pillars for good content:

1. Your content is easy to understand. For example, if you want to present a

complex idea, you divide it into several small parts. Never use too many
technical terms that no human being understands. You always have to imagine
that your target group is not as competent in your subject as you are and it is
definitely right to try to make it as simple as possible.

2. It is helpful and informative. Most people have problems if you don't

help them. So if you can show them how to tackle these problems, there is
added value. That's why tutorials are so popular.

3. It is visually appealing. Depending on the content format, you can create

useful screenshots, texts, videos or images, be it in the blog itself or in other
channels. Of course, you want to encourage people to share your content.
High-quality thumbnails on your YouTube account, for example, will attract
more attention and ensure that your content is shared frequently.

The better you know your audience, the more targeted you can
create your content and help people solve problems.
Tell your story

People basically trust other people to know

what they're talking about. It is very helpful if
you tell us a little bit of your story. This doesn't
mean that you have to spread out your whole
private life in front of your followers, but only
tell them little things about yourself.

Since the beginning of human civilization,

people have tended to trust what their friends
and family members have to say to them. They
also listen to advice and are willing to tell
others what they have learned.

This has remained the case to this day, but the

way of communicating has changed - from the
Face-to-face or over the telephone
communication we have advanced to digital
information exchange.

Think of a few things that are characteristic of you. Don't pay attention to
perfection, because perfection is boring and looks fake. You could, for example,
tell about your pet or occasionally tell funny anecdotes about your children. Or
tell them you can't do anything without coffee because you're a total late riser.

Authenticity in Influencer - Marketing - Campaigns

In an influencer marketing survey, 87% of respondents stated that "the greatest

benefit of influencer marketing is to create authentic content about their brand".
And that is the most important reason why Influencer - Marketing is so effective
and can deliver results that other marketers only dream of. Because the
campaigns carried out by influencers are authentic and trustworthy. At least you
should be.

You can't get into a marketing campaign and expect it to be authentic and
deliver amazing results. Because it doesn't work that way. We now know that
authenticity is extremely important in influencer marketing, but there are so
many more questions that need to be answered.
How can you create an authentic influencer campaign? And why is it important?
Those are some of the questions I'm going to answer here. No brand is 100%
authentic, is there?

All companies have goals, and everyone knows that the brand only wants to
sell more. This means that people are always a little suspicious of the words
of certain brands.

If you team up with a brand that wants to create a campaign with

you that is not authentic, you (and the company, of course) lose the
trust of your followers.

A successful partnership works if you can represent the products or services of

the company from the bottom of your heart and are happy to report on them.
This is also the reason why celebrities have lost credibility and smaller micro
influencers have gained popularity. The reason for this is that celebrities who
advertise brands would in most cases never really use the products they
advertise.

Good influencers, on the other hand, only work with brands they
really love. That is why this type of partnership achieves the best
results. Because people trust them!

Don't let a great financial offer or any promises persuade you to advertise
something you don't like. Your followers will thank you for it.

Ask questions

Questions encourage your followers and fans to take an active part and give an
answer. Therefore it is always good if you close your post with an active
question and ask to leave an answer in the comments. This is how you enter
into interaction with your audience and you'll get to know her even better.

Make sure your questions are creative, not just "yes." or "No" can be answered.
For example, if you have reviewed a book, you might ask if someone else can
recommend a good book on the subject and if so, which one.
Respond to comments

If comments are written to you, you should also reply to them. So you show
your followers that you are really interested in them and read through what
they write to you. Of course, you don't have to answer every time, but you
should take the time to read and react to the reactions to your content several
times a week.

In touch with your fans

For example, if you think you can become an Instagram Influencer by simply
publishing photos or videos without a word, you're looking at it wrong. Only
those who write captions and make an effort to get into conversation with the
followers have a realistic chance of attracting many followers.

Use your caption to tell stories or ask questions to your followers and get closer
to them emotionally. Give them a reason to trust you, to follow you and to
engage with you. But don't forget to be sincere and authentic with all your
commitment. Better no story than an invented or fake one. It's also great when
there are ways to meet you offline. Maybe an event or a trade fair?

Always be up to date

Of course it's important to post content that isn't two years old and doesn't fit
anymore. If there's any news in your field. It is of course good if you can be
one of the first to pass them on to your followers. Often there are also seasonal
occasions that you can share. If, for example, you are a cook-influencer, you
could of course post other dishes at Christmas than in spring.
Publish new articles regularly

If your fans see a fixed

sructure in what content you
publish and when, they will
be looking forward to new
content and waiting for you
to publish something.

Almost every known

influencer has certain
publication days. They also
communicate this openly
with their fans. It's for you.
at the same time a very good opportunity to stay on the ball and stick to
deadlines.

If you post something only rarely or irregularly, there is too much time in
between for many people and they don't come back because they think "oh,
nothing happens on this channel anyway". But if they know exactly that your
new content will be posted every Wednesday at so much time, faithful followers
will be there waiting for what you have in mind today.

Be open to criticism

Reacting arrogantly and snobbishly to criticism has cost many influencers

countless followers. For example, if you are criticized because your spelling is
not perfect, you will probably get very annoyed at the first moment and try to
answer something not so nice. The correct answer would be: "Thank you so
much for having me on it. I'm working on it!"

Research new topics every day

In some niches it is more important, in others less: As an influencer it is part of

being up to date. After all, as an influencer you are a trendsetter and a pioneer!
There is a very simple system to find new content:

Write down all blogs / influencers you want to track for new content. For this
purpose you can e.g. register for a free Feedly account and use the
Collect RSS feeds from all blogs. Feedly is a reader for blogs and content from
the web. You can collect all blogs and pages that interest you there. And with
each new contribution you will be informed immediately.

Then check your Feedly account daily. So you are always well prepared
when new content appears that can be pinned.

Create an editorial plan

Do you already have an editorial calendar? The little helpers make the life of an
influencer much easier: they keep you up to date, give you an overview of the
content and prepare you reliably for research, writing and photography. You can
simply use an Excel spreadsheet for this purpose, where you plan your posts for
each network, e.g. once a week.

Here are 7 tips to create a good editorial plan:

1) Plan in different columns images, content, what you need to research,

when you want to publish and on what network. On Instagram you could also
distinguish between stories and posts.

2) You want to use location info?

3) What else do you have to do to create the mail? Canva? Filter?

Watermark? Research? Source search?

4) Who is your target group for Swiss Post? The answer isn't "everybody",
that's what we have already discussed under "Find your target group".

5) Decide how often you want to post and wear fixed times in your new posts
Calendar. This also helps to motivate yourself.

6) Every niche is different. There are better and worse times to post, it
depends on when your fans and supporters are online. Keep track of the time
and adapt to the habits of your audience.

7) Pay attention to seasonal conditions and plan your contributions for a

long time before.

Plan posts and publish them automatically

There are several tools you can use to plan and automatically post your posts.
This saves you work and allows you to plan better. This is especially
advantageous then, if you've opted for multiple social networks! Here are two
example programs:

Hootsuite

This tool is designed to plan your posts and publish them automatically at a
time you specify. You can post to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn at
the same time. More than 10 million people all over the world use Hootsuite.
There are different versions and you can use it either as a private person or
as an entrepreneur.

The first step is to create your profiles. You will see the "add Social Network"
tab in the upper right corner of the graphic. There you enter your data for
the corresponding network. After that you can plan your posts and either
post automatically or set a time when you want to post.

Buffers

Buffer is an easy to use app for beginners and advanced users. You can use
it, just like with Hootsuite, to schedule and automatically publish
contributions. Up to 10 accounts and a Facebook page can be created.

Sharing - Share content from others

We're all familiar with the phrase "Sharing is caring," aren't we? Apart from the
rhyme, this mentality, which every influencer should internalize, depends on
sharing something good from others and being generous. Many people are
happy when someone shares something with them, maybe you too. Sharing
works in both directions: The "divider" is happy because he can see that
someone benefits from his action and the "beneficiary" is also happy because
someone found his content so good that he wanted to share it! A real Win Win
situation!
Follow others and leave comments

If you want to become a known influencer, it is not enough to stubbornly share

your own content. It's about interaction, because you're on the social networks.
It is therefore important to follow other people and leave comments for them.
Apart from the fact that this is part of the good tone in every social network,
you can also expand your followers with it, especially if you follow accounts and
join to comment on those who already have a large following: People see your
comment, find it interesting and drop in on you.

Evaluate data - measure your success

What are your most powerful tweets? At what time do your Instagram
Posts have the highest interaction? Does your Facebook work?
Marketing strategy? Does it bring you traffic and leads?

If you don't use social media analysis tools, you probably won't be able to
answer these questions.

Meanwhile, most influencers know about the need for tools to measure their
efforts. The number of tools available to analyze your efforts has increased by
leaps and bounds. This is because social media influencers are becoming
increasingly popular and demand is rising. At a certain point, you can probably
name all the important social media analysis tools out there. But at the moment
you are probably still at the beginning, because otherwise you probably wouldn't
be reading this book. That's why I'd like to introduce you to a few tools with
which you can measure your success.

Sprout Social

With Sprout's social media analytics, you can measure the success of your
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and LinkedIn posts on a single
platform. If you have all your analyses in one place, you can track and
compare your efforts much more easily.

Buzzsumo

Rather than analyzing your brand's individual social media performance,

Buzzsumo examines how your website's content is reflected in the social media.
For example, if you want to see how many shares your last blog post on
Facebook and Twitter received, Buzzsumo can provide you with this information.
Social media is one of the most important ways to disseminate content. So it
is important to understand what is most appreciated by your audience.
Buzzsumo not only shows you the number of shared content, it also shows you
what kind of content works best in any network, based on length, type, release
date, and more. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram are
currently supported.

Also here you have to dig deep into your pocket to get the tool.
can: The lowest price starts at 99€ per month.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is technically not a "social media analysis tool", but it's one of
the best ways to track social media campaigns. You probably already have a GA
setup on your website (if you have one) to monitor and analyze your traffic. But
did you know that you can specifically access social media tracking and create
reports?

For example, you can see how much traffic comes to your site from each social
network, or use UTM parameters to track specific social media campaigns. UTM
parameter means: If a user clicks on a link that is tracked with UTM parameter,
his action is recorded in Google Analytics. So you can target all clicks on your
social media accounts to analyze. You will not only find out how many visitors
came to your site via which links, but also whether they prefer to click on an
image or text link in a newsletter, for example.

Google Analytics is free.

ShortStack

Have you ever held a competition in the social media? If so, did you also take
the time to analyse how the competition went? ShortStack is a social media app
especially for such competitions, which also offers a performance analysis. By
analyzing the results of your competition with a tool like ShortStack, you can
track the interactions of your followers.
Monetisation - how can you be financially
successful?

Now you would certainly also like to know how you can become financially
successful as an influencer. In the last part of this book I have therefore
summarized the best ways in which you could use your influential status to be
an influencer and pay your rent.

Leading brands know, for example, that micro-

influencers are extremely profitable, and
working with them promises a larger customer
base. This is the reason why influencer
marketing has exploded in recent years.

For many, their influencer status has become

full-time employment. Often the activity
consists of different activities:

● Content creation
● Commitment to the followers
● photography
● design
● public speaking
● Negotiations with cooperation partners

In order to do this full-time job, you need money that you would otherwise earn
through a normal job. Note, however, that in most countries there are
guidelines for earning money. As soon as you become commercially active, you
must register a small business.

Find out how social media influencers can use their skills, know-how and
influence to make money from different sources of income.
Find your advertising partners - Sponsored Posts

While brand ambassadors usually enter into long-term partnerships, sponsored

social media contributions are more of a short-term approach to increasing brand
awareness. This is by far the most common way for influencers to earn money,
especially when they are still at the beginning.

A sponsored social media mail? What exactly is that? that's what it's called when
a company hires an influencer to create content about its brand (it could be one
or more post(s)) and then shares it with its followers. There are many forms of
sponsored social media posts, e.g:

● Share branded content,

● Development of unique images,
● Advertise a new product
● Introduction of a new brand or
● Announcement in a new target market.

In the same way, influencers can monetize their blogs and websites and create
brand content there. Blogs are great because they are more durable and
sustainable than the social networks and allow influencers to share more
detailed information with their community than is possible through social
media, e.g. detailed product reviews.

However, it is important to note that not all blog content is sponsored - a good
influencer provides his subscribers with a mix of organic (ad-free) content and
brand collaborations. Always remember authenticity, too. When influencers
work for brands they can't really identify with just because money is involved,
their credibility and relationship with their audience can be severely
compromised. Sponsored blog posts must also fit well with financial incentives!

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is often somewhat more passive than most other forms of
advertising partnerships. When you become an affiliate, this is how it works:
Affiliate marketing describes the cooperation of two partners. These two are
called "Affiliate" and "Merchant". The affiliate is the influencer. It acts as an
interface between merchants and potential customers.
The influencer advertises on his website or in the social media with a link or
banner for the merchant. When someone clicks on the link to buy the product,
they receive a commission.

Affiliate links can be posted anywhere where links are allowed, but
influencers should inform themselves about the rules of the respective
platform.

Available platforms are e.g.

● Instagram
● Facebook
● YouTube
● Twitter
● Google+
● pinterest
● blogs

The amount of commissions varies from product to product. Usually affiliates

and merchants are connected through affiliate platforms like affilinet. There you
can choose one of countless programs.

Tips, Donations and Gifts

Some sources of income are more direct. Platforms such as Twitch and Super
Chat (within YouTube Live) allow users to help artists financially. Many blogs
also have built-in options that allow users to donate variable sums.

This form of income is probably not something for everyone, but for many
followers it is a real possibility to be financially supported by their fans.

Patreon and Crowdfunding

Patreon is a platform that allows fans to support their favorite influencers

with regular contributions. They specialize in artists such as podcasters,
draughtsmen, writers and photographers.

If you register there, your followers and patrons can send you monthly
contributions or only for a certain project and thus support your work.
Countless influencers and Internet entrepreneurs have already
realized projects with Patreon.

Crowdfunding is generally a good idea if you need start-up capital and are
just starting your own business.

Traditional advertising appearances

With increasing popularity, influencers are becoming valuable advertising

partners for companies. They exert attraction as personalities and celebrities,
not "only" as social media accounts. Large influencers can even appear in
television commercials or on billboards.

Similar to traditional (and in some cases even more effective when it comes to
communicating with a younger audience!), the influencers have the power to
become very sought-after advertising partners for companies. There are whole
guides on the Internet on the subject of how companies can win over a certain
influencer.

Individual business models

Successful influencers could also earn money by starting their own businesses,
goods, apps and more. It is clearly an advantage if you have already heeded my
tip with your own blog. For example, Kayla Itsines used her social media fitness
empire to found her "Bikini Body Training Company", wrote several e-books and
designed a fitness app called Sweat With Kayla.

Other influencers such as Tyler Oakley, Joey Graceffa and Grace Helbig have
also written books, played in movies and television shows and introduced
merchandise products. Particularly savvy influencers use their "social
capital", which they have accumulated through the careful care of loyal
followers, to exert influence in other areas close to their hearts.

With the individual business models you again have a clear advantage if you
run your own website. I know I often come back to this point, but it really
offers many advantages. You can market your own products much more easily
and efficiently on your website than in the social media.
Epilog

You have gone through all the steps and have probably already celebrated your
first successes. It's now important to stay on the ball. You have developed a
strategy and a plan, but you should always be open to new ideas and keep up
with the times.

Sometimes you post something

that you didn't think was so
important yourself - and your
followers celebrate exactly this
post. Then go with them and
give them more of the content
they like.

Over time, you will begin to

refine your strategy and adapt
it to the current circumstances.
As long as you
authentic and not take off, your
faithful followers will accompany you along this path.

Don't hang your head when you lose some fans again. You can't please
everyone - and that shouldn't be your goal! You write and post for your
target group - and not for everyone.

I hope that with this ebook I have given you a guide that could really help you.
If you still have questions or suggestions to the contents, I am to you gladly at
the disposal.

All the best for your career,
