TECHNICAL NOTES
Centralised Bank and IBAN Directory
Available from: 201909
Bank Identifier Code (BIC), RMA and No RMA tables are moved from PP
module to a centralised Reference Data (RD) module.
Moving to Centralised Data Storage by Using RD.

l The Reference Data (RD) and IN (IBAN) are required to use the related
configuration tables.
l If an upgrade is performed to release 201910 or later, the RD module will
be available for use.
l After the upgrade, an option to continue the usage of the Temenos
Payments tables (PPT.BICTABLE, PPT.BANKCODE,
PP.COUNTRY.IBAN.STRUCTURE and PP.EXCLUSION.LIST) until the
switchover to RD is available.

Setup to Continue the Use of Temenos Payments Tables until the

Switchover is Complete

l In TPS.INTERNAL.CONFIGS table, a PP.BIC.ENABLE record signifies

that Temenos Payments tables will be referenced instead of RD tables
during payment processing.
l NOTE: The user needs to enter the record manually to use the existing
Temenos Payment directory solution.

Setup to Start the Use of RD Directories after the Switchover is Complete

l In the RD.PARAMETER table, set the Reference Data field as ‘Yes’.

l Remove the PP.BIC.ENABLE record from TPS.INTERNAL.CONFIGS. To

know more, refer the below tables.

Enabling RD versus Continuing to Use Temenos Payments Tables

System uses the following configuration combinations to decide whether
payment processing needs to refer to Temenos Payments or RD directory:

NOTE: Temenos Payments tables store Bank Identifier Code (BIC) with data
for each company. Hence, can have duplicate records. This can be eliminated
by using RD, as the tables do not store data of each company (they are install-
ation level tables).

l RD directories follow the same schema specified by SWIFT.

l The fields in PPT.BICTABLE, PPT.BANKCODE and
PP.EXCLUSION.LIST are a subset of the fields in
RD.CENTRAL.BANK.DIR, IN.IBAN.PLUS and IN.EXCLUSION.LIST.
Hence, there will be no data loss due to the migration. Payment
processing also works seamlessly once switched over to RD.

23

l Manually created data records in PPT.BICTABLE and PPT.BANKCODE

needs to be entered in as custom records in RD.CENTRAL.BANK.DIR

fields from PPT.COUNTRYIBANSTRUCTURE to

TPS.BANKBIC.CONCAT.CONVERSION migration service.

NOTE: The migration service is run irrespective of whether RD module is

installed or not.
The user needs to perform the following to move to RD after upgrade:

l Install RD after the upgrade.

l Install IN module (if not installed already).
l Execute the TPS.BANKBIC.CONCAT.CONVERSION service.
l Before the migration of Temenos Payments to RD, perform the following
configuration during switchover period:
o Enable TPS.INTERNAL.CONFIGS with PP.ENABLE.BIC record,
so that payments can be processed by referring to the existing
Temenos Payments.
o Set the Reference Data field in RD.PARAMETER table to ‘No’.

To migrate to RD, perform the following actions:

24

l Using the auto upload mechanism, upload the records to

o Reverse the PP.ENABLE.BIC record from

Movement of Customer Activity to System Tables (ST)

Available from: 202004
Customer Activity table is reclassified to be part of System Tables (ST) module.
The existing CZ.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY table contains information related to
Customer Data Protection (CZ) module while the new
ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY table holds the list of contracts and contract related
information.
Prior to release 202001, the configuration table to update customer activity was
initially part of the CZ module and the same has also been moved to a new
parameter table called ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY.PARAMETER.
In releases 202001, 202002 and 202003 the
ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY.PARAMETER is a single record keyed in by the
term ‘SYSTEM’ with multiple set of applications configured to update
ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY.
From 202004, the ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY.PARAMETER is modified to
contain records keyed by the application itself for which the
ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY needs to be updated. These application wise
ST.CUSTOMER.ACTIVITY.PARAMETER records are released by Temenos
and can be modified as per requirement.
An existing ‘SYSTEM’ record can be continued to be in use, however, any new
functionality with respect to customer activity will be enhanced only for the
application record layout. Also, new installation does not support the SYSTEM
record anymore. The required conversions are handled as part of the
ST.BUILD.CUS.ACTIVITY service.

having any of these modules (CD, CE, FA, FE).

Microservice is an architectural style that structures an application as a
collection of services, modeled around a business domain. Each microservice is
an independent process that provides a unique business capability and it is
independently deployable, loosely coupled and encapsulated. Data in a
microservice can only be accessed from the service through APIs.

Broker Fee Payment with Tax
Available from: 202004
Back-Dated purchase transactions – IS.BROKER.FEE.BALANCES table is
updated for each of the purchase contract with broker charges. If broker payment
fund transfer is posted for a set of transactions and the user entered a back-
dated purchase contract with the same date (previous record exist), the ID of the
table is appended with ‘-B’.

Example
Current date is 20200131, a back-dated purchase contract is entered with the status value date
as 20200115 and if a paid record in IS.BROKER.FEE.BALANCES is already available for the
same date (110123.GB0010001.10.USD.20200115), then new record is created with the ID as
110123.GB0010001.10.USD.20200115-B. Similarly, if -B record is also paid on the defined
frequency and again for the same date if one more purchase transaction is initiated, then the
record ID is appended with -B1 (110123.GB0010001.10.USD.20200115-B1), -B2, and so on.

173
