Roskilde University is currently in the process of implementing an educational reform which means that all master’s
programmes will cease to exist in their present form and will be replaced by new master’s programmes.
In February 2021, a list of all the master’s programmes which are offered at Roskilde University from the 1st of
September 2022 will be published.

The final admission opportunity for this programme is the entry on the 1st of September 2021 (see application deadlines
at www.ruc.dk). Applicants with a legal right of admission who apply for admission after September 1st 2021, will
maintain their legal right of admission to one of the new master’s programmes at Roskilde University. Changes in legal
rights of admission will be published on the 1st of May 2021 at the latest.

If your Bachelor’s or Professional Bachelor’s degree has not been preapproved as giving admission, the university will
assess the academic content of your bachelor’s or professional bachelor’s degree. If the university assesses that your
degree is relevant and gives you qualifications that correspond to one of the qualifying degrees, you may be offered
admission.

If the university assesses that your bachelor’s of professional bachelor’s degree is relevant for admission to the master’s
programme but that you lack few essential qualifications, the university may decide that you have to complete
prerequisite studies amounting to no more than 30 ECTS credits in order to be admitted.

You must pass prerequisite studies before being enrolled in the master’s programme.

There are approximately 40study places. If more than 40 applicants are qualified for admission, selection is based on the
following criteria:

1.Bachelor degree’s giving direct admission

Study places are offered to applicants with a bachelor’s degree that is recognized as qualifying for direct admission
without prerequisite studies.

If the number of applicants is higher than the number of study places, applicants are prioritized based on the grade
point average (GPA) of the grades from the bachelor degree and if the bachelor degree is not completed, the grades
available on the application date (1st March).

2. Bachelor degrees giving admission with up until 10 ECTS points summer prerequisite studies

If there are any available study places following the admission of applicants with a bachelor’s degree giving direct
admission, admission may be offered to applicants with a bachelor's degree that is recognized as qualifying for
admission after the completion of prerequisite studies amounting to no more than 10 ECTS points.

If the number of applicants is higher than the number of study places, applicants are prioritized based on a calculation
of the grade point average (GPA) of the grades from the bachelor's degrees and if the bachelor degree is not completed,
the grades available on the application date (1st March).

These admission requirements enter into force on 1.9.2020 and apply for admission to the programme from 1.2.2021
unless stated otherwise. Changes to these requirements have been approved by the Rector on 1st July 2020.
