ABM Work Immersion Option C

Industry Partnership with Focus on Digital Marketing

Rationale

Work Immersion (WI) is a requirement for the Senior High School student to graduate. WI provides an
avenue for the student to be exposed to and become familiar with the work-related environment
related to the strand of choice to specialized and enhance their competence. WI prepares student to
meet the need and challenges of employment or higher education, after graduation.

WI aims to let the student:

(a) Gain relevant and practical industrial skills under the guidance of industry experts and workers;
(b) Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories taught in school;
(c) Enhance their technical knowledge and skills;
(d) Enrich their skills in communications and human relations; and
(e) Develop good work habits, attitude, appreciation, and respect for work.

Due to COVID-19, massive disruption has been brough to the academe. Industries also face the sane
problems. In the context of basic education, crisis is a condition in which the regular operation of
schools is suspended, and its learners’ physical attendance in school is prohibited or limited.

Moreover, the implementation of WI is assumed to be severely affected during this time. While
limitation for learners and schools are recognized, proactive measures are considered to deliver the WI
experience to students through Online Marketing and Industry Partnership Program. The WI will run for
a period of four (4) months or 16 weeks.

Overview of the Program

This program is intended to integrate the practice of the work from home (WFH) setup of some
industries that do not require a specific function to be physically present in the location of the
organization with the goals of the WI program. The set-up of work immersion from home (WIFH) with
industry partnership is as follow:

1) The students will partner with an existing organization that provides a product or service which
will be marketed over the course of the WI.
2) They are to act as marketing consultants both digital and physical.
3) In the course of marketing the product or service, the students are expected to abide by the
brand of organization and other considerations the organizations have to set. The students are
also to ensure that they uphold ethical practices in marketing. This is in consideration of using
copyrighted photos and graphics and the execution of the marketing campaigns.

The students are to make a term paper detailing their experience of the WI with regards to the success
of their marketing campaign as well as the satisfaction of their client company.
