Grade Level and Subject Area: 11th Grade (US History)
Scope: Students will create a presentation that covers all content standards for the 1920’s.
Each student is tasked with covering one specific content standard and must cover the who,
what, when, where, why, and the significance of the event or people. Students must include
images that reflect the standard that they are covering. The students will be tasked with
working in groups of five to six students. The students must rank the importance of the events
according to their opinions after learning about all subject matter in the unit. This unit evaluate
students’ knowledge, analysis, and application skills of thinking.
Assignment Directions
1. Form a group of five to six students depending on your preference.
2. Once in groups decide which content standard each one of you will be covering.
3. Create a Google Slide or Prezi using the name: The Roaring Twenties: Dynamic Change
in America followed by your names.
4. Create a group slide titled “Preliminary Ranking”. Rank each content standard according
to what your groups’ preference from least to most important.
5. Create a slide for your assigned content standard.
6. Create a bulleted list answering the following questions: What is the thing/event, why is it
important, where did it occur, who were the key players/actors, why did it occur, and is it
still relevant.
7. Each bullet should contain at least two sentences of information and cite any sources
through hyperlinks.
8. Include at least one image per slide that reflects your topic. Examples could include
pictures of the amendments, pictures of the presidents, famous stars, bootleggers, etc.
The images just need to be relevant to your content standard.
9. Compile all of your slides into one presentation and add a group slide at the end.
10. Title this group slide as “Our Ranking”. Rank each content standard with a numbered
list as to what your group thinks is the most important after your research.
11. In a paragraph summary on the final slide talk about how your group views changed
after the project!
