Boroscope – is an optical instrument designed to assist visual inspection of narrow, difficult to reach

cavities, consisting of a rigid or flexible tube with an eyepiece or display on one end.

Uses – are used for visual inspection work where the target area is inaccessible by other means, or
where accessibility may require, time consuming and expensive dismounting activities.

Pre-Inspection Notes

 Make sure that an approved technician should verify that no live connection is present.
 The Machine should be turned off when inspection is on process.
 The technician should know all the working part of the machine.
 The technician should have the blue print / schematic diagram of the machine to be inspected.
 The technician should have the appropriate data/manual.
 Check the temperature of the machine. (If the temperature of the machine is above the
operating temperature of the boroscope, wait for the machine to cooldown.)
